Bank of America failed to honor mortgage commitment

B of A failed to lock in mortgage rate as instructed. Rates went up. My broker interceded so bank bought down rate but mortgage remained at higher rate than quoted. There were problems with accuracy of closing documents and unexpected buy down fee of several hundred dollars at closing. " We bought down rate as much as we could. You will have to pay the remainder." I had no recourse since rates had risen in 10 weeks required for processing. Result is thousands of dollars extra interest over life of loan. This was not intentional but incompetence of B of A "senior mortgage v.p. Annette McC. JLH. Austin, Texas

Bank of America

I entered into a Loan modification with Bank of America in July/2009. I was experiencing a hardship and couldn't pay my mortgage. I was about one month behind. My husband had a stroke and I was laid off my job in 2006. I spent all my 401 K paying our expenses until 2009. I was told not to pay my loan while I was in modification. In January 2011 I was informed that I approved for the loan modification and I was facing foreclosure. I received a letter February 9, 2011 stating I had to vacate my home.

Bank of America, Well's Fargo, Citigroup . . .

$410 Million Settlement Shows Dangers of "Overdraft Protection" A federal court in Florida, encompasses actions brought on behalf of consumers in 14 states who said that the bank processed debit transactions in order of size -- largest to smallest -- rather than chronologically. As a result, consumers were more likely to overdraw their accounts -- and once they overdrew once, subsequent overdraws were more likely to occur, causing some consumers to accrue hundreds of dollars in fees. Along with Bank of America, the suit named two dozen other banks as defendants, including JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bancorp, SunTrust, & Huntington Bancshares.

Bank of America keeps delaying closing

I signed up for a mortgage loan through Bank of America. 1 day before closing Bank of America came back with a minor paperwork issue which delayed the closing by a week. In the meantime, I had to go back to my landlord requesting an extension on my lease, have the utilities turned back on for a week and then pay a penalty to the seller as well. As if that was not enough, 2 days before the rescheduled date for closing - Bank of America called me at 6 in the evening and told me to increase the coverage on the flood insurance (even though the existing coverage exceeded the loan amount). By then, I had already packed my stuff and had the movers coming in the next day. Despite all this Bank of America refused to apologize and suggested that we move the closing date again. Not only that - these guys were downright rude - "instead of arguing with us, you should call the insurance company right away" (as if it is my fault that they waited till 6 pm to call). I am left with no words for this organization. I would rather stab myself in the eye with a needle than go with these guys again for a mortgage loan. Stay away from the

Bank Of America in Manassas, Virginia - BOA - Mortgage are Dis-organized

I applied for a loan modification end of 2008 due to a death in the family that caused my mortgage to fall behind for the first time in 6 years. My home was put on the foreclosure list despite the application for modication. Luckily I was able to come up with the funds needed to pay off the balance needed to reinstate the loan. The complaint I have or what pissed me off the most is that 1 year later, I get a letter from the bank, letting me know my application is denied!!!! Geeee!!!!!! I totally hate this bank!!!!!!!!!
