Bank of America keeps fire victim waiting for their money

I've been waiting almost a month in our hotel for a check that was sent to Bank of America Home loans from my insurance comapany for our house fire and they still have not released the funds for us to restore the damage. Yet they deposited the check the day it was received . The very bank our tax $$ helped bail out is an emarassment to the financial institution. Then the check will be mailed to our contractor that was required to fill out paperwork twice because they did not "see it in the system" Shame on BofA for their incompetant staff that moves at a snails pace!!

Bank of America has my mortgage with an escrow account to pay taxes and insurance which they collect. For three years running they have let it lapse, I've received notice of cancelation and had to go through many phone calls to get it reinstated and paid. This is an...

Bank of America took $2400 from me

BofA has $2400 of my money that they say they don't want but they won't give back. I deposited a Wells Fargo Bank check (like a cashier's check, the equivalent of cash) made out to me. So there I am thinking I have $2400 because I deposited the equivalent of cash in the ATM and have a printed receipt with a copy of the check. Two days later I look on line and learn that they have rejected the check. Online says the check was processed without a paper document (i.e., they're saying I claimed to deposit a check but really didn't). Only I have a receipt with a copy of the check! I go back and forth with online help (more like helpless) who finally says I have to call the 800 #. So I call. They tell me the check was mailed back to me the day I deposited it. So I wait a week. No check and I need my $2400. Back to online helpless. They tell me the check should be received 4-5 days from mailing. I tell them its been 8 days. Ummmm...... So I call the 800# again. The woman KATRINA, Unit #3680 in Concord California, tells me the check was refused by BofA. This of course is a lie because it could not have gone to Wells Fargo and back to BofA on the same day. She finally admits that wasn't true and says its because the check is made out to me and a business so I should not have deposited it (i.e., I stole the money). Except the check is NOT made out to me and a business. I tell her so and she looks at the check image (lo and behold there IS a paper document). So then she goes back to saying it was rejected by BofA. So I point out its a bank check, same as a cashier's check. So she goes back to blaming it on me. She says that my business name is on the check (uh, yeah, its on the address where the check was mailed). So she starts yelling at me. I ask if there is anything they can do for me, as I've been a customer for 20 years and I don't have $2400 I'm supposed to have. I've deposited IDENTICAL CHECKS made out the exact same way for the same amount from the same account every month for about 3 years. But before rejecting this check no one bothered to call me or email me. By sheer happenstance I looked online. Check's in the mail sir. Have a nice weekend. You'll get your money when you get it. You know what happens if you have $2400 of BofA's money and you tell them the "check's in the mail"? Well, first of course you get slapped with fees and penalties, and I'm sure there's all kinds of fun from there. What do I get? Yelled at by KATRINA with Unit #3680 in Concord California. And still no $2400 and no check, going on two weeks later.

I've received a corrected corrected corrected corrected corrected corrected 1098 from BOA that is still not correct. The total interest, fees, and principal does not equal to the amount of funds I paid to BOA. I paid BOA $44,200 in 2009, and at one point I had a...

Boycott Bank of America

In 2008 I took out a $100 cash advance on my Visa credit card from Bank of America. I assumed it was long paid off. I noticed recently a $6 interest fee on top of regular interest fee for "cash advance". I emailed and they sent a serious of fill in the blank responses that never addressed this issue nor did they ever tell me that you must pay off the entire balance on your credit card (my limit is only $800) or the cash advance continues to be charged. Since 2008 I have paid $216 in interest on the $100 cash advance and they told me in an email my balance on the cash advance is $182 after nearly three years of way over the minium payment. What they did was raise my interest rate from 18% to 29% which is the cash advance rate. They said I could "request" payments above the minimum be applied to "hgher rate" but since they raised my interest to match the cash advance they still claim I owe $182. This is outright fraud, and because the federal government stepped in to stop this practice, Bank of America raised most interest rates to match cash advance rate to get around the law. Please boycott this fraudulent corporation. Voting with your feet (and cash) is the only way to combat this short of a class action suit.

Bank Of America in Glendale, Arizona - About to be Homeless

I was in the process of getting my home loan modified thru Bank of America and NACA playing the middle man.NACA told me to stop paying my credit cards and give up my car so that they could see that I was trying to keep my house. After waiting for nine months of giving them the same paperwork every month and following thru with whatever they asked I come home one day an find the house had been sold. when I called to see why they said I had fell thru the cracks and there was nothing I could do but get out. I fell into this problem because I took a big pay cut and then I broke my foot and it all started to dwindle like every other citizens in America with no help. Now, that I am trying to find somewhere to rent no one wants to rent to me because of my credit being 120 days late an the foreclosure. I don't know what to do this is the reason for my seeking other resources.

Bank of America

Watch out people Bank of America is out to get you. I was recently robbed by BOA. An bogus charge was put on my card by a scam artist on the internet and I contacted Bank of America to inform them right away. They would nnot take the charge off and have refused after numerous letters and evidence showing it was a scam. Good bye forever Bank of America. Well I have to make this longer so I will give the fishiong report, Table Rock white bass fair on jigs, green and white. Black Bass good on football jigs early and late in 15 foot of water. Lots of boat traffic by the dam with many crazy drunks on jet ski's. Bluffs over crowed with to many teenagers to count.

Bank Of America in Wasilla, Alaska - Arbitration will no longer be used to resolve new disputes:

Bank of America sent a letter from Beverly B. Ladley, their Borrowing Products Executive, dated June 10 2010. It reads as follows: "Arbitration will no longer be used to resolve new disputes: We are removing the Arbitration section from your Credit Card Agreement." This now means we Bank of America clients will have no recourse to dispute fraud, etc. Never-mind the contract we have signed with this bank. This letter has no phone number, nor address to contact Ms. Ladley. An outfit by name of Wells Fargo Financial kept calling our home repeatedly, to refinance our property. They said they were 'Wells Fargo Bank'. Since I do indeed bank with Wells Fargo Bank we did meet with them located in a poorly strip mall office and we thought it was Wells Fargo Bank. But they are actually Wells Fargo Financial, and proceeded to tell us that we could not go through conventional FHA financing. And we required sub lending financing: we were only qualified for 6% mortgage rate. According to them the finance fees were to be $10,000.00+an $800.00 for the property appraisal. I told them there was no-deal until I get the appraisal, and I will check around for the actual current interest-rates and check out the $10,000.00 financing fees which seemed way out of line: usury. An Appraiser shows up, hired by Wells Fargo Financial, spend five minutes looking around, although never went downstairs to see the furnace room, nor the foundation. The measurements were wrong and some buildings were not measured, nor were the large decks around my home were not measured correctly. Months went by and their still calling to close the mortgage deal; although I asked over-and-over where is the appraisal?? We never received the appraisal. I called the Appraisal Company and they told me it wasn't my appraisal...that it was Wells Fargo Financial's appraisal. I explained that I paid the $800.00; and again they said it only goes to Wells Fargo Financial. I never received the appraisal from Wells Fargo Financial after numerous calls to them and they kept telling me that they did mail it. I never received it. They were using the appraisal to corner me into closing...'sign the refinance mortgage contract and then you may see the appraisal.' Although they sent a $800.00 bill charge to my Bank of America credit card. I disputed the $800.00 fraudulent charge. Wells Fargo Financial told the Bank of America that I did receive the appraisal: and this is a complete lie. I called Wells Fargo Bank and they explained that Wells Fargo Financial is a lender for sub-prime loans for folks with bad credit, motorcycles, boats and small items. In our first meeting Wells Fargo Bank he reviewed our banking history and credit scores(760)then approved our loan @4.9% and then ordered another property appraisal. The whole deal took 50 minutes to close. Wells Fargo fees on remortage are $3000.00 with 4.9% financing. Wells Fargo Financial fees were $10,000.00 with 6% + $800.00 appraisal fee. Bank of America Credit-Card insists they will not credit us the $800.00 billed by Wells Fargo Financial. They insist we received it and we never did. The first time we saw it was June 30th. ...months after we closed with Wells Fargo Bank. (Im in Anchorage Alaska)
