Watch Out For Bank Of America Fees

We closed an account with Bank of America over 3 months ago, and were still being charged monthly fees. I called up there and was on hold for 45 minutes before they realized their mistake and only repaid me for 2 months. Nevermind the overdraft, overcharge, and insuffiecent charges they refused to give back. I think we paid them close to $600. And will never get it back. I will not do any other business with them. I am in the process of trying to close my checking and savings account with them. I let them know this and they were not the least bit interested.

BANK OF AMERICA WON'T ANSWER

Bank of America the bank of opertunity for other banks to get customers. The bums won't answer the phone when you call the branch, the phone number listed on their web site for charlotte nc university branch is not even a working number. What a bunch of screw ups. when they don't answer they transfer you to a call center that the people can't speak good english. How about bank of america but you have to speak spanish to talk to them. Maybe they just want the illegal's to bank there. Anyway don't support these crooks bank somewhere else.

Bank Of America in Rio Rancho, New Mexico - Raised APR to 27%

I too was with Bank of America and held a credit card. I never had a late payment in 3 years with them and never went over the limit--no negative fees what so ever. Yet, they raised my apr to 27%--that's ridiculous--. I called them on 3 separate occasions and they refused to lower the apr. I am currently finalizing a mortgage loan to pay off bills and remodel our house. Bank of America will be paid off and the credit card destroyed. I won't cancel it because that doesn't look good on your credit report. In addition, I will never do any business with Bank of America or any of its' affiliates.

Bank Of America in Kirkland, Washington - BOA Stole $250 from me!

We got overdraft in our BOA account and instead of them letting us know they charged us $35 for every transaction! Most of which were between $2-$5 transactions! My husband calculated that for $22 in overdraft they charged us $250!!!! I do all my banking online and check it every couple of days! When I checked it the morning before it was fine! We called them and they stated that it kept letting us post transactions with our debit card because the payments were pending at the time they were run as credit. So the next day we end up paying nearly $250 in fees! We finally got notices in the mail a week after they had already charged us. They couldn't call us and let us know. I am PISSED! And i will deffinately be switching banks!

Bank Of America in Los Angeles, California - Overdraft protection

This so-called overdraft protection of the Bank of America has been robbing the common people openly, and the law is letting them. I got a negative balance of $ 2.54 due to thier keep the change savings. When I was notified on my email, I immediately transfer the negative balance from my savings within 24 hrs. And yet they still charge of $ 35.00 overdraft protection fee. What are they really protecting? Is there anybody who can help? Please, anyone? This has been goin for quite sometime, we have a lot of lawmakers, can't they do anything about these?

Bank of America on Credit Fraud

I had one of their credit cards and started receiving a fraudelent charge from PMIDENTITY.COM. I asked BOA to stop making payments to them as I never authorized it. BOA sent me to their dispute department where I spoke to two different associates and spent the next two hours disputing with BOA about why this charge was fraudelent. In the end, BOA refused to do anything. I had no choice but to get rid of my card. Through my whole experience with this, even as I voiced my complaint while cancelling my card, there was not a hint of sympathy from anyone in this compnay. It is plainly obvious which side of the merchant/customer divide BOA stands on.

Bank Of America in Portland, Oregon - BOA made many mistakes then said "whoops" never gave $ back!

Used BOA for years never a problem. Credit score 820 @ 24 yrs old. We scheduled a $100 payment to a credit card. They sent it through our US bank account as $10,000. US Bank called me to ask if that was right. I said "NO!" US bank declined to trasaction (thank u US!) I called BOA and they said it was a "computer glitch" and they would fix the returned fee if I called back once it all cleared there system. So I waited for that...and OMG they tried sending the $10,000 payment AGAIN! So I called BOA again and said "Look I already called...I was already told it was a computer glitch...I was told to call back to get my fee returned and now I am going to be charged from US bank TWO times...then BOA 2 times...I want all my money put back...and anyways..why did u try it again?" They told me they were confussed by the whole thing and had to talk to a manager. I was on hold 4 diffrent times and then transfered MANY times. I ended up talking to someone who was the "head cheese" they said "I am sorry this has all been due to training error" she boiled it all down to "training error" BUT refussed to give me my $22x2 (us bank) and $25x2 (BOA) By this time I (AND My husband) have been on the phone for 2 hrs (plus) and I said "so...u are saying its your error but pretty much screw the little guy" she replys..."take it how ever you want it your not getting your money back" AHHHHH I wanted to rip her head off. We cancled the 2 cards and are NEVER going back to BOA. Funny thing after talking to Cindy at my local US bank she refunded me the $44 and shook her head and warned me of BOA. It happens ALLOT with them and they always send it to the "B" upstairs to tell u off. Nice...really nice! I can tell u I have many mone years of dealing with banks and I will not give BOA one more second of my time or one penny of my money!

Bank of America: thieves

Recently, I made purchases on my BOA account. On Saturday, after the "end" of the business day, I found I was in the red by $22.00. Because I had cash, I deposited in my account and had a postive balance. Then I was given another check of $373 and put that in the account. Until today, all the charges were pending. So almost $500 in my account, and then I find that most of the oldest transactions are either pending, or they've been given an earlier date to justify the $35 fee taken out of my account. I'm not a rich man, but at the same time, if I owe money, I pay it. But every time I turn around, the system is backdated or the charges posted out of order to make sure I have to pay. When I asked about this, I was told to make sure I pay attention to how much I spend. When I said that I'm poor so every penny is always looked at, they got upset. I'm paying more in bogus bank fees and charges than what I have because even when I put money in, they still keep charges pending until more money comes in the account. More than once, I've seen a transaction post 3 days earlier, or a deposit post for the next day, even if it's been on time. What should I do?

Bank of America Drive thru

Employeees at BoA receive very poor trainning. I was lined up on drive thru for 45 minutes, ver stuck becuase I could not go anywhere. There was only one girl in drive thru with 3 lines open, and about 15 cars that later on became 20 and so on. Since I was with my sister I aked her to stay in drive thru for me while I got off the car and walked into the bank. As soon as I walked in there was 3 people standing without doing anything and just watching others work. When I asked for the manager, she was standing on the other side of the bank just watching people. I asked to pull someone of the standing people to help the other lady in drive thru or int he worst case the manager herself could be helping the girl. The clerk was making my deposit told me that if I shut up wit would speed up the process. I told him that was very poor customer service and no one should tell a customer to shut up. I have never had problems with BOA but this one was the exception. What a shame.
