ANGRY NEW CUSTOMER

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently opened a new checking account with BofA due to my old bank closing a lot of its branches and only having one branch in my town which was way across town and only 2 atm's in the entire town. I figured with BofA having several locations in my town as well as ATM's I would check the out. After reviewing their accounts and what they had to offer, I decided to open the account. Due to my work hours, it's almost impossible for me to go into a branch so I did everything online. (Which I've done with my other bank with no issues.) Everything was completed and my account was opened. I was provided a routing number, account number and etc., and my information was provided to my employer for my direct deposit. The following week, I received my new debit card, and welcome packet from BofA. This morning, I try to log into my account through my mobile app only to be told that the information entered does not match any of their records. I called the 800 number that was provided only to be informed that my account had been closed for security reasons. (All of my information couldn't be verified online.) So I needed to go into a local branch. I had to leave my job and go into a branch, and provide the same information that I provided online only thing different was a photo ID. To make matters worse, I have a direct deposit scheduled for this Friday into the account they closed. Their response, "There's nothing we can do, the account has been closed." My question is, WHY IN THE *** WOULD YOU SEND ME A DEBIT CARD, AND WELCOME PACK IF YOU COULDNT VERIFY MY INFORMATION?????????? Now I have to wait until possibly next Friday before I receive my funds, and not to mention I have things set up to auto draft from this account!! I AM BEYOND PISSED!!!!

Customer service is an unknown to BOA

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We have been with the bank for 25 years and somebody entered my last name as middle name. When the account verification was needed, the error was caught BUT even though it was not my fault, they froze our accounts and told us that we HAD to go to a local branch to get the issue resolved. I had to take time off work (it ended up taking one hour at the bank and one hour to get there - so half a day of leave spent!!) and I was treated in a less than competent manner. First, they did not want to tell me what was wrong with my name! Even the local employee of BOA got frustrated with his colleague on the phone. It was shocking what they thought my profile was - they had it in the system that I was a foreign national on a visa, they had my husband's work address (which nobody should have access to) as our residential address. Then I was told that they would, for now, unfreeze the accounts so that tomorrow (pay day) our salaries would be received BUT my husband and I have to take time off work to complete a new signature card - since my name changed (IT NEVER CHANGED you imbeciles!!! you put it wrongly into the system). Good bye Bank of America!

When you go in to the branch, fire B of A and go to a local, community bank or better yet, a credit union. All of the monster mega banks are a bad deal.

Bank of America trying to charge me $10.00 fee.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bank of America trying to charge me $10.00 fee to replace 2 worn out Debit cards. Taking my account to Wells Fargo. Adios BofA. They say it's not their fault the strips wear out. They told me Visa charges them to mail out the new cards. I told them maybe they need to make a better card strip. Also told them I'm tired of the nickel and dime BS. As far as I can tell they're the only major bank doing this. It never ends with bad customer service. If you google Bank of America they have tons of customer service complaints. They are the epitome of bad service.

WF or any other monster mega bank will not be an improvement. Go to a small, community bank or better yet, a credit union.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am very upset and disappointed about my experience with Bank of America. They should be named the worst bank.

I have spoken to 3 customer service reps, 3 managers and my issue still has not been fixed. I deposited a TRUST FUND check into my account and they are holding my check for 12 days. 12! With no legitimate explanation.

The federal reserve validates and processes checks within 3-5 business days, however, my check is being held well beyond this time frame. The bank was not even interested in validating the check or calling the issuing bank, they actually flat out refused.

*** service! You are not a valued customer at Bank of America, no matter how much money is in your account.

Fire this bank and move to a credit union or a small community bank.

Thank you, That is exactly my next plan of action. I already closed any account that I could.

I will be closing the remainder of the account before the end of the month. Lesson learned.

PROFILED AS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN

Boca Raton branch today 11/17/17 at 2000 Glades Rd. location. SIMPLE DEPOSIT of $180 cash to my daughter’s account. Associate approached me and rudely interrupted, asked if I was an account holder on my daughter’s account. Said no, just making deposit for her, she’s away in college. Felt “profiled”. Doesn’t matter if I’m not an account holder on daughter’s account if I’m making a straight deposit to give her money! Not your business if I’m making a deposit! I’m not making a withdrawal!!!

Never no tellers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Every time i go to Bank of America it’s never any tellers to accommodate the people in line. They have one teller working the inside and drive tru. Friday and Saturday is the busiest days only 2 tellers. I never can go there and get in and out. 1/2 hour in a bank to cash a check or any business is unacceptable with the fees they charge. I’m searching for banking elsewhere I can’t anymore. There going to lose more customers than they can blink.

Unreal check cashing fee

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Went in today to cash a $50.00 check from my mother's account (Bank of America) for which I am listed on as "payable on death". First they wanted my social security number to pull up her account. I refused to give it since the account was in her name and my social security number was not associated with her account. (I do not like to give out my social number unless I have to, too much identity fraud). They had her account number on the check so why was it so hard to access her account through her own account number? Then the teller wanted to charge me a $8.00 check cashing fee on the $50.00 dollar check. I said I would just take it to my bank to deposit. She finally did cash the check without the fee. I have been cashing these checks from my mother's account for years at this bank with no issue. I was even told several times I didn't have to use my thumb print because my name was on the account. Thank god I bank at a local bank who believes in customer service. In the future I will just deposit my check through my own bank. I have asked my mother who has been a Bank of America customer for over40 years to switch banks. Maybe if more pissed off Bank of America customers would leave they may get a clue.. The bank in question is located on Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee FL

I am going to sue Bank of America for closing my account....

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had a account for 19 years as a Irrevocable personal Trust account , they never said anything about disclosures, never disclosed that they could close a account at any time for any reason.....this is fraud, deceptive, my account was to last for over 100 years.....credibility, integrity, goodwill based on the long term account, and they for no lawful reason closed it, never a negative balance, never a bounced check, constant use, always good balance, never any use out of line, used the same way every month, impeccably managed for 19 years. This is a violation of multiple laws.

If anyone has ever had the account closed and they never disclosed to you they could do it at any time or for any reason at the time you signed the deposit agreement...please contact me, I would be willing to bring you in as a witness to come against them, and get the court to rule against this kind of abuse...it is constructive fraud to do what they are doing.

They induce you to get the account from them, then they violate you later or years later without ever telling you at the time of signing they could do any such thing. Contact me at harent1998@***.com, I will get in contact with you.

How can I contact you? I had my accounts closed by BofA as well.

Their reason for doing so was that they didn’t like the business I am involved in. I’m looking to start a class action lawsuit.

Actually, you are very lucky to see the backside of this monster mega bank. Try a small, community bank. If you contact a lawyer for this doomed lawsuit, bring at least $10,000 and expect to spend several hundred thousand.

I will be filing all of my own briefs and pleadings....won't need an attorney.

So they will be spending a lot...I will not be spending hardly anything....except filing fees...and jury fees....which is fine.

I have been waiting for years...for anyone to violate me the way they did. I hoped it would not be them...I actually thought they would protect their customer, especially how well we managed the account....but none of that means anything...if they are willing to break the law in order to do what they did...so time to fight for our rights and make them pay.

I then received an email saying that I had insufficient funds for a purchase I made for nearly 7.00 and I called and they stated it was due to a debit hold on my acct that overdrew my acct I inquired as to what would happen with my automatic deposit of my disability benefits and they stated I would be unable to access any of my funds. I now am on the *** of being evicted because I am unable to pay my rent and I have had two items returned unpaid

Ridiculous hold on deposit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

10 days ago i deposited a local check drawn in a local bank into my Bank Of America checking account and they have an indefinite hold on the deposit because they say they cannot verify the funds cleared the federal Reserve clearing house. The funds were withdrawn from the makers account more than a week ago and bank of America is now charging me 97 dollars in fees because they say my deposit is lumped in with thousands of others through a federal clearing house and they tell me there isnt anything i can do about it. This is absolutely insane and cant possibly be legal and yet im out 1500.00

Long time customer that doesn't mean anything!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Customer for forty years and there was a problem with our account. Late Payment because we didn't get the notice. When we found the problem called to correct. Paid the amount due, They didn't care if they made a mistake or not. We still had our credit score dinged because of it and they would do nothing to help us. They told us it didn't matter if we were a new customer or a forty year customer. They weren't going to do anything about it. I would like to note that we have been with them for forty years and this is the first time we have been late with a payment. Don't use this uncaring group of people. We have cancelled the account and cut up the cards. We are not using them anymore!!!!!!!!

"We still had our credit score dinged "

Huh?

How many days past due were you?

What do you mean you didn't get the notice? What does that mean?

I don't have to get a notice to know I owe a note.

Worst bank I have dealt with.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have had many bank accounts with several different financial institutions over the years; and I have to say Bank of America has been the worst. One of my accounts had come over drawn by a mere 26 cents, $35 overdraft fee, made an immediate deposit to bring my account up to date. They were not going to budge on their $35 fee, but after speaking for about 15 minutes or so, they waived it. The next came about 3 weeks ago, where my account had been over drawn yet again, this time for $3.14, the final straw. I do admit that it is my fault on the overdrafts, but to charge $35 for such a small overdraft is absurd. Other banks that I have dealt with, have a certain amount, such as $5 before they charge an OD, not Bank of America, if your account is over drawn by a penny, they will hit you with a fee. My advice is, stay far away from BOA.
