Bank Of America in Los Angeles, California - B of A stole my cahs rewards

I had been a loyal B of A customer for about 25 years. I always thought this was the bank for my needs. I trusted this bank with all my personal and business accounts. Because of my trust this 150Billion Dollar bank was able to steel around $4000.00 cash rewards, by closing my credit card accounts without giving any prior notice or valid reason. This bank not only broke my trust it also mislead me into believing that this cash rewards program was legit. To me this program is fraudulent. They started my account in August of 2012 with credit limit of $12,500.00. In October 2012 they raised my credit limit to $20,000.00. Then in February 2013 my credit limit was raised again to $25,000.00. In March 2013 they issued me another reward card with $15,000.00 additional credit limit misleading me into believing that they wanted more of our business. Then on June 3rd 2013 without any warnings they just canceled both cards. I could have taken this money out $500.00 at a time like I do now with my current bank. I was saving this rewards money for our family vacation in August. What better place to save it in than my “trusted bank”. When I called the bank on June 3rd to find out why, the customer service rep had no answers. When I asked about our cash rewards I was told that I get to keep them and was given the phone number of their closure department to claim the rewards money. I called the closure department next day and was advised by one of their reps (unpleasant one) that I had forfeited my cash rewards. I have never been late in any of my financial obligations. I pay all my bills and my employees on time. I have a perfect credit (Top 10%). I can’t figure out a reason why this bank would close my accounts. Certainly I did not give them any reasons. I would love to get a valid reason from this bank. By closing our accounts without prior warning they created total financial chaos in our organization. After doing a little research online, I realized that it is normal business practice for this bank. This is exactly how they make their billions. This bank should be punished for this kind of business practices. Stay away from this bank, it is misleading, fraudulent and conniving.

Bank Of America in Chicago, Illinois - Modification request not properly handled, home in foreclosure

Due to medical expenses I fell behind in my mortgage payments after 15 years of consistency. I applied for modication, submitted requested documents. Each time I followed up I had a different agent. The 3rd agent said all documents requested were received (I re-sent more than 3 times). Finally, after about 3 months I received a letter saying I was denied due to missing documents. I then attempted to get on a payment plan. They requested over $6,000, so I was gonna borrow from my credit union. The agent told me after payment is received, I would be required to pay $2,000.00 for the next 4 months and future payments would be re-calulated. I explained that their delays also added lateness to my payments and I could not afford $2,000 a month. I pleaded for a monthly payment that I could afford, to no avail. Then I attempted the Short Sale process and was denied. I received notice that my home would be on public Auction next month.

Bank Of America in Colorado City, Colorado - I was lied to

My wife called Bank of America to try to get a home loan modification. They took all my info and said that they would be in touch. For Three months my wife called and every time she was either told it was in review or they needed some other document. I spent close to $30 just faxing them what they needed. Finally my wife called to find out what was going on with our loan and the last rep she talked to told her that before we could apply for a modification that we had to go through the other options and be denied. My wife told them that she was never told that was how we had to do it we were under the impression that we were trying for the modification. The rep then told my wife that we qualified for a Forbeam. That is were if we miss a payment they would divide it up and tack it on to the next three payments. Now that is not helpful at all we are having a hard time with the money for the payment to start with if we had to pay extra we would sink faster than we are now.

Bank Of America in Texas City, Texas - Get your money out of BOA.......NOW

We received a letter from BOA telling us our account was going to be closed. Didn't give a reason, just an 800# to call. Never can talk to a real live person when calling BOA. We had to leave our name & number, but were worried it was a scam so we went into our local bank first thing in the morning. The gentleman we talked to assured us that the letter was indeed a scam after looking at our account and not finding anything wrong with it and calling that 800# himself and not getting a response he asked to make a copy of the letter and was going to pass it on to their fraud dept. Told us not to worry everything was fine with our account, it's a savings account, we don't write checks off of it, we've got over $200,000 in the account, we've used the atm card so the account didn't sit for too long, so he was positive everything was fine. Thursay night we get an email from BOA informing us our account is closed....WTF No explanation, only another *** 800# and again you leave your name & phone number. First thing Friday we're in the branch office, demand to speak with the branch manager & the *** that told us everything was fine. She can't tell us why it was closed, where are *** money is or anything. The district manager happened to be there so he starts investigating and can't get any answers either. So now we're told that if we'll just be patient they'll mail our money to us in a cashiers check within 24 hours. ***!!!! We're still waiting, no one will give us an answer, the people finally called us back on from the 800# (they are rude as ***) they don't care that your entire life savings has, poof, disappeared, what's it to them? The only thing they keep telling us is that the check has been sent out by UPS but they can't give us a tracking #. AGAIN...........*** You can't send anything out via ups without getting a tracking #. Where's my freakin money? How can they get away with this? We had just gotten a pre-approval letter from BOA to buy a home and had made an offer on a home. We lost the house because we can't show proof of funds now and have no idea how long (or even if) we'll get our money back.

Bank Of America in Fort Walton Beach, Florida - I thought I was the only one this happen to

I had gotten up to check my account balance and had no problem, later I made an attempt to do the same and some bs popped up saying invalid login information. Naturally I contact BofA that's when they informed me that they have made a "business decision" to end their relationship with me. They never gave me any information as to what the *** was going on! I'm still dealing with this issue after almost 2 *** months and they are still telling me the same thing over and over again. I opened up an account with another bank and they had to close the account because of the *** BofA is putting out about me. I have even tried to tell them that if there some type of fraud activity on my account that I needed to know for my protection...needless to say once again they repeated the whole we made a "business decision" to end their relationship with me. At this point I'm livid. I've never had this happen to me before. Because of them I'm shut out from dealing with any bank. Over some *** that's not even my fault. I really thought I was the only one this has happened to. I'm going to speak with a lawyer to see if I can sue them and if I can on what grounds, I think we all that this has happened to should get together and screw them like they did us! I'm truly hurt right now! By the way I was told by a bank that when something like this happens usually it was a bad check coming to the account but don't you all agree with me that if this is the case they should have contacted me (us) to get the situation straightened out right then and there...

Bank Of America - Fraud alert phone call

I recently opened up a credit card made a couple purchases and a cash advance. with not even a week of having the card i received a phone call saying this was a random fraud alert call to verify me. the asked for a copy of my license, utility bill 7 social security card. I do not want to do that as I have never been asked that before from any other company. I owe roughly 500.00 as I have not even received my first statement. I mailed them a letter with a 500.00 money order and expressed my complaints and told them to cancel my card. Has anyone had such an experience?

Bank Of America in Sonoma, California - Poor customer service

I took a check from Bank of America client / depositor to the Branch in Sonoma CA and they refused to cash the check. I explained that I was not a client of Bof A and the teller asked if I would like to open an account. I stated that my family had accounts that dated back to the days when the bank was called Bank of Italy and that I had my personal and corporate account at B of A for 16 yrs before terminating our relation because of poor customer service. When the teller discovered the amount of check was $2700. The teller stated that BofA does not cash checks greater than $2500. I asked her to check with supervisor. The supervisor restated the rule and again refused to cash the check. I called the client and they agreed to write two seperate checks. I had to drive during rush hour traffic 30miles back to my clients home to pick up two checks. One for $2500 and one for $200. Another perfect example of poor customer service. I will no longer take BofA checks from my clients in excess of $2500. They will need to go deal with there own bank to get cash or write multiple checks. The client had never heard of such a rule and stated that BofA had sent out multiple fee change letters over the past few years and they must have missed this item. Client was not happy - I am not happy and my wife is not happy since I am now a hour and half late in getting home. BofA is not recommended as a bank to do business with

Bank Of America - Expiration of Reward Miles - rippoff

I've been a loyal and big customer of BOA since 2001 and maintained a rewards credit card with them since that time. Just found out that my reward points have been expiring since at least 2011. Apparently they expire after 5 years with no warning. After hours on the phone and experiencing all the disconnects, rude customer service, bad customer service, failure to call back as promised, etc... I found a manager who promised to submit my request to have my points reinstated submitted. Unfortunately (and I've been told this twice), no one (including the managers) at BOA is given phone numbers to the secret Rewards department. In other words, it is impossible to get ANY level of service on this issue. Expired reward points have unjustly enriched BOA. Anyone else with same problem? I'm talking to consumer class action lawyers and if they're interested I will need names of other people harmed.
