I have had it with the back door overdraft fees and no help from customer care. If I over draft that's my problem I accept that but when I am transferring money between my own accounts and I don't realize that it's going to overdraw the other and I get hit with. $35 fee and then told oh well sorry you didn't know we could charge for that it really *** me off. I am a single mom of four struggling as it is and you hit me with a fee for transferring my own money from one of my accounts to another that's ***. I have had enough of this bank.

Customers working for free | Bank Of America review

Always had great service at Bank of America but now they have only 1 teller instead of 4 or 5. That poor teller has to take care of the drive thru and the lobby. I went in to make a deposit to my account and waited in line 15 minutes because the teller was waiting on another customer who had a little problem. I was told by the representative who greeted me at the door that I could make that deposit with my debit card at the atm. I for one do not use or want a debit card. That is the reason for this 1 teller deal. They want everyone to use the automated atm. In essence like all the other business you will be working for them for free. Same thing with Loews and Home Depot . They have check outs that you can do yourself - instead of hiring other clerks - check yourself out......Again - you are working for free for them..... I tried going to another Bank of America and it was the same thing. One teller to do drive thru and lobby where there used to be 4 or 5 tellers. It seems to me that Bank of America does not care about the customer at all. I will be looking for a new type of bank that is for sure. A bank that does care for their customers.

I signed up for an account that was free as long as I had one direct deposit per month. Out of nowhere (9 years later) they started charging me a $12 monthly fee despite my having had a direct deposit. Upon talking to customer service I was told that it was only free if the deposits were of a certain amount (which they never have been). I was refunded only one of the two monthly service fees. This is the second account it has happened to. Previously I had my deposits rearranged so as to overdraft me, they attempted to charge me an annual fee for a credit card I had cancelled, and they held money held back for no reason that anyone could explain. I am closing all of my accounts there and moving to a credit union.

They closed my account without even notifying me and then held my direct deposit hostage so they could do the proper paperwork! Not to mention when I tried to call them I was hung up on 3 different times! Worst customer service and bank ever! Do not bank with them!!

A year ago I changed my business there for needing to change the name. Recently I have had a lot of charge backs from my customers. Wondering why, I contacted Bank of America and they told me my old business name was still on there! After going to multiple banks to fix this( over a month time lapse here) they told me I should just close out my old account and reopen a new one. I did this and having it cause problems with the IRS and other issues the old business name still was one my new account! I have lost thousands of dollars from customers due to this problem! BOA gave me the charge backs and I sent them the proper documents to get this resolved. Hearing nothing back from them I called back to check on the status and they explained to me nothing could be done now. I had argued back and forth that this was not my fault and something needs to be done. Again no help. I asked them again what the name was stating on peoples bank statements, again was my old name still!!!!!Two weeks have passed going back and forth and still nothing has been resolved. Regarding the charge backs I was told by 3 different people they could be fixed then the last person I called said they could not. Also 3 representatives told me my company name would be changed within 24-48 hours and still nothing has been changed. My customers are still viewing there statements as my old company name and I have to go and explain this to them all so I do not receive more charge backs. This has made my company look really unprofessional and also skeptical to my customers. I finally called again and asked them what the status was on the name change the last rep that I spoke to apologized for the previous reps and said I needed a form to fill out and then my name would be changed! Why have I wasted all this time and energy and the information I had been given by not just 1 rep but by 3 that there was no document that I needed to fill out! Their unprofessional-ism and miscommunication has ruined my hole outlook on BOA. I have recently changed and gone with someone else smaller company but way more professional. BOA has wasted not only my time but my customers time and my money. Really angry with BOA and how they handle things ( which is not at all. ) I can not even fathom how they could not understand a simple task to change the name! 1 year has passed and still not solved and on top of it all instead of changing my name to my new company name they somehow merged my old name with my new name and messed it up even more! How can these people be so incompetent?

Bank if America not only fees their customers to death, they also make their teller work on a quota system of 10% sales per day, which is impossible to achieve as a teller, this causes stress and mistakes, if you don't get your 10% Bank of America fires you. Even though you are not hired to sell. Bank of America did this to me a single Mom of three who has been in the banking industry for 25 years. I have never been treated so horribly. I guess all the fraud they committed in the past has made overly money hungry to pay the billions they owe to the government off the backs of hard working employees and customers. don't bank with Bank of America. they are un American

I have the same issue. I don't understand why they're charging account holders twice and it is frustrating because these fees do add up. There was no intermediary bank and no currency conversion.

My sister died in August and I have been jumping through hoops trying to get her funds released. Always another needed document. Always the same script from BOA reps. 5-10 business days until I have to hear the same thing from another one. I've sent everything twice. Her two orphaned boys have savings the bank won't release. It's not BOA's money. You can tell it's scripted by the indifference in their voices. "Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss." I guess our loss is their gain. Are they starving? I hope karma comes calling. My poor sister worked so hard for her money and they think it's theirs. Shame on you.

Bank of America took our Money !!

Leased a Credit Card Machine through Bank of America Merchant Services Oct of 2010 for a 4 year lease and the credit card service was through First Data.. We may of used this machine a 4 times in 4 years you think BOA would of allowed us to cancel this before the 4 years term of course "NOT" On 11/1/2013 we called Bank of America to inquire about terminating the lease talked with merchant department which told me that it was only a 3 year lease with BOA. And the remaining term would be month to month & First Data could be cancelled at ANY TIME.... 9/23/2014 spoke with First Data regarding closing account & returning this credit card machine. We returned equipment as per their instructions and our account was closed according to First Data. We made sure to ask if we need to call BOA to close account and was told "NO" was told BOA would be informed of account closure & we would receive a confirmation letter. Our account was closed and we returned equipment and do you believe on 11/3/2014 Bank Of America put their greedy hands in our account and took a renewal fee of $171.75 for a credit card machine we no longer have & account that is closed.. It gets better: Because BOA took that fee of $171.75 it caused our account to be overdrawn & again BOA put their greedy hands in our account again and charged us $35.00 overdrawn fee. A Total of $ 206.75 dollars taken from our account . We called customer service was forwarded to an account specialist named PAUL who laughed and said this fee is for a prior year.. Who bills you after you have used their equipment & service NO ONE!!! Lies, Lies, Lies.... What a bunch of Crooks!!! I am outraged & unsatisfied with BANK OF AMERICA they should be ashamed of themselves ......

I worked for Bank of America, formerly known as NationsBank 401k daily department many years ago when the department was a start-up. By the end of the second year, the bank's 401k investments were averaging 64 cents on the dollar. By the third year it was 49 cents. It was a big secret....but now you know why banks needed the stimulus taxpayers were forced to "save" our so honest financial institutions. Would you have bailed the banks out if someone had handled your investments with this type of return and lack of concern? I have a lot more "matter of fact" in your face stories to tell. I'll tell them a little at a time so the shock isn't too intense.
