The long wait on the phones and in the banks

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went to the Bank of America by my house today, I said that I have an issue with my account and instead of helping me right there she gave me an estimated of 25 mins wait when there were two people at the front and empty offices. I do not understand what is going on with customer care or service at Bank of America, its losing its quality. very disappointing. Also Im still on the phone with customer service, an hr wait???? is it because they are not hiring enough people to work for them? what is going on with this bank I'm in shocked with the service I'm receiving!!!

I have been banking at boa for 40 years, business account as well as personal. At East Islip branch all the wonderful employees were transferred elsewhere, new staff is very unfriendly. The line is usually long, only one teller. Yet as you walk in your greeted by employee who desperately wants you to go to the ATM, obviously the people on line do not want to go to the ATM. How can she help me? By getting behind the counter and servicing some customers. Wondering about this banks future. With this rating you would think they would do something. Time will tell!

Bank of America Home Loan

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Never Do Business with Bank of America, especially for the Home Loan We have a very horrible experience with BOA home loan. Recently we have applied for a home loan from BOA. The first contact with the loan officer did not show up the next day based on our appointment. We did not receive any phone call or email from the loan officer. The branch manager referred us to a different loan officer at other location. Our loan amount is 36% of condo purchase price. We put 64% down payment for the condo. We have submitted all the required documents: tax return for 2015 and 2016 tax year, detail investment portfolio from two investment bankers. last two years saving and checking accounts details, annuity contract statement, credit reports, condo purchase escrow contract information, and condo buying contract. Our credits show we are over 800 score. At the end, they still said those documents are not enough. Furthermore they want to know our spending pattern. They even question our son's property and all our 30 years residential properties history. They asked when and why we sold the properties in the past 30 years. Also, they question us why we spent $2,000 and $3,000 the two months ago. I think BOA has violated our privacy law and treated us like a criminal. Most of the questions are nothing to do with home loan. We thought we were well qualified for this small amount of loan. Unfortunately, they asked so many silly questions which are not related to the loan at all. Those people handling the loan in the BOA loan department are so ridiculous and ignorant without any common sense. We were so fed up and upset with all those BOA irrelevant questions. Finally we just walked out the door and asked for the return of all submitted documents and delete all our investment banker's detail financial PDF files downloaded to their computer. In addition I will cancel my BOA credit card for good and no more future business with them. We believe the BOA top management sitting in the eiffel tower have no idea what their people are doing. BOA must change their business practice and should have some common sense. For the last words, BOA should respect the right of people's privacy and no discrimination attitude. Very Bad business practice !

Dispute

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was sold expired and used personal care products from home based salon/ couponer. Bank of America decided with seller because seller showed them a signed copy of purchase receipt. What??? How does that prove or disprove anything to do with my dispute. Lazy employee didn't even read the details of my dispute and just used generic rejection of dispute .

Penniless on my birthday

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Bank of America took a quadruple payment from me before my birthday. I was making a double payment and they took it twice. They refused to electronically reverse my funds even though this is the second time it has happened. The first time they did reverse my payment. When I said this to the Auto supervisor Mike he said they never did thst and basically implied I was lying. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he didnt have one available.

They've Left the Real People BEHIND - BAD SERVICE

I've been a loyal BOA customer for the last 26 years. Even stuck with them through the 'meltdown' in 2008. Since then, they've CLOSED the local branch instead of adding a 2nd ATM or more tellers.. (the location in Lawton, OK, a Military Base town kept them busy), so the closest place to deposit any cash is 85 miles away ONE WAY! Now, trying to get them on the phone is totally unacceptible! They removed the 'chat' option online, so all they want is my auto-deposit SS checks, but won't do anything to 'help me'... I am SO DISAPPOINTED - they totally suck now and I'm looking for a NEW bank!

BOA fails to protect customer from real fraud case

Bank Of America - BOA fails to protect customer from real fraud case
Bank Of America - BOA fails to protect customer from real fraud case - Image 2
Bank Of America - BOA fails to protect customer from real fraud case - Image 3

My credit card been phone scammed on April. I have all the evidence, police report.

BUT: 1, BOA custermer service push you around in different departments, let you waiting, holding in the line. After 30 mins, if you are lucky, you could talk to the right person. 2, They don't care how good your credit is. After 6 years using BOA, all my saving in this bank, never late for any payment and only one time fraud, they don't want to take any responsibility.

3, There is no way to know how they investigate. Only phone call. Later someone told me I could fax too. I spend another $20 for fax my evident, police report to BOA.

And I doubt if there will be a real person to see my evidences. 4, Customer service said they will reopen my fraud case and take money out of my bill for this month. After one day, I checked my account, nothing changed. (That was after 1 hour on the phone with BOA) 5, BOA said they were asking me for more evidence, but I never get any notice.

The only letter I get is the result. (Picture 1) 6, There is no use if you go to local BOAs. They can't help you at all instead they will ask you go out and call BOA Fraud department by yourself. 7, BOA customer services told me in the beginning, They will take the responsibility.

But they change their mind from no reason... 8. There is no way to complain. See the picture 2, online complain.

After you filled everything, you will get a page not found. See picture 3 My American Express card been scammed more than BOA credit card in the same day, same fraud case, they solved the case in 2 month and didn't charge me anything. I only have American Express credit card, but they are polite and efficient. I definitely don't want to save any of my money in BOA anymore.

And will not dealing with people who is not trustworthy. I am sorry.

Going downhill!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

BofA has become desperate and greedy. I have been a customer for over 10 years and as of today have closed my checking and credit card accounts with them.

I was recently charged two overdrafts because we transferred money from my wife's BofA money market account through her employer. The bank will not admit owning the money market account even though it's name is all over the card, the number on back is for BofA and you must log in through BofA online to use and transfer money on the card. So BofA has lost my 10+ years of business for $70. I also believe that this company is corruptly grouping transactions from large to small and manipulating processing times in order to gain the most overdraft fees possible.

I have called numerous times in the past few months and hold times are always over 30 mins, representatives are non-empathetic and lack any care towards their customers. BofA was once a great company but customer service has deteriorated over the years and it's obvious that they can't make money with investments so they bludgeon customers with fees to make ends meet. This isn't good business. Please remember that banks are supposed to make money through customer money by wise investments.

In the end this is one less customer you can steal from and I'm sure many more are jumping ship. Good riddance!

ANGRY NEW CUSTOMER

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently opened a new checking account with BofA due to my old bank closing a lot of its branches and only having one branch in my town which was way across town and only 2 atm's in the entire town. I figured with BofA having several locations in my town as well as ATM's I would check the out. After reviewing their accounts and what they had to offer, I decided to open the account. Due to my work hours, it's almost impossible for me to go into a branch so I did everything online. (Which I've done with my other bank with no issues.) Everything was completed and my account was opened. I was provided a routing number, account number and etc., and my information was provided to my employer for my direct deposit. The following week, I received my new debit card, and welcome packet from BofA. This morning, I try to log into my account through my mobile app only to be told that the information entered does not match any of their records. I called the 800 number that was provided only to be informed that my account had been closed for security reasons. (All of my information couldn't be verified online.) So I needed to go into a local branch. I had to leave my job and go into a branch, and provide the same information that I provided online only thing different was a photo ID. To make matters worse, I have a direct deposit scheduled for this Friday into the account they closed. Their response, "There's nothing we can do, the account has been closed." My question is, WHY IN THE *** WOULD YOU SEND ME A DEBIT CARD, AND WELCOME PACK IF YOU COULDNT VERIFY MY INFORMATION?????????? Now I have to wait until possibly next Friday before I receive my funds, and not to mention I have things set up to auto draft from this account!! I AM BEYOND PISSED!!!!
