Dumbest New Policy

I went today to deposit money into my daughter's account (she's a college student in California). I waited in line and when I got to the teller, I was told that since I was not an authorized user on her account I could not deposit cash into her account. This has got to be the DUMBEST policy ever. I said what are you talking about, I always put money in her account. The teller then advised me that effective December 4, 2017, the bank implemented a new policy which mandates anyone making a cash deposit into a customer account must be listed on the account or have an account with BofA. I do not like this bank and would never open an account of type. I went to PNC (my daughter also has an account there) and deposited the money into her account without an issue. I told my daughter to close her account at the bank. Never going there again!!!!

Puts you to voicemail instead of people. Say no managers are available to talk. Or condescending and sarcastic in their town the entire time they are attempting to resolve a problem. Unhelpful. The worst bank I've ever had an account at.

Unreal check cashing fee

Went in today to cash a $50.00 check from my mother's account (Bank of America) for which I am listed on as "payable on death". First they wanted my social security number to pull up her account. I refused to give it since the account was in her name and my social security number was not associated with her account. (I do not like to give out my social number unless I have to, too much identity fraud). They had her account number on the check so why was it so hard to access her account through her own account number? Then the teller wanted to charge me a $8.00 check cashing fee on the $50.00 dollar check. I said I would just take it to my bank to deposit. She finally did cash the check without the fee. I have been cashing these checks from my mother's account for years at this bank with no issue. I was even told several times I didn't have to use my thumb print because my name was on the account. Thank god I bank at a local bank who believes in customer service. In the future I will just deposit my check through my own bank. I have asked my mother who has been a Bank of America customer for over40 years to switch banks. Maybe if more pissed off Bank of America customers would leave they may get a clue.. The bank in question is located on Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee FL

Bank of America trying to charge me $10.00 fee to replace 2 worn out Debit cards. Taking my account to Wells Fargo. Adios BofA. They say it's not their fault the strips wear out. They told me Visa charges them to mail out the new cards. I told them maybe they need to make a better card strip. Also told them I'm tired of the nickel and dime BS. As far as I can tell they're the only major bank doing this. It never ends with bad customer service. If you google Bank of America they have tons of customer service complaints. They are the epitome of bad service.

WF or any other monster mega bank will not be an improvement. Go to a small, community bank or better yet, a credit union.

I made my credit card payment 2 days early and they dont want to listen to my explanation and just wanna take my hard earned $25 for the stupedest explanation that I paid too early and it went to my previous month payment! I understand I made a mistake but BoA wont let it go! I never missed any payment before always paid on time! Worst customer service

A living nightmare

I logged into my mobile app on October 30 2017 and showed my balance of 15 later that afternoon I logged In again that afternoon and found that I had a negative 888,888 in my account. I then received an email saying that I had insufficient funds for a purchase I made for nearly 7.00 and I called and they stated it was due to a debit hold on my acct that overdrew my acct I inquired as to what would happen with my automatic deposit of my disability benefits and they stated I would be unable to access any of my funds. I now am on the *** of being evicted because I am unable to pay my rent and I have had two items returned unpaid

Boca Raton branch today 11/17/17 at 2000 Glades Rd. location. SIMPLE DEPOSIT of $180 cash to my daughter’s account. Associate approached me and rudely interrupted, asked if I was an account holder on my daughter’s account. Said no, just making deposit for her, she’s away in college. Felt “profiled”. Doesn’t matter if I’m not an account holder on daughter’s account if I’m making a straight deposit to give her money! Not your business if I’m making a deposit! I’m not making a withdrawal!!!

Horrible service to cash a check

I have to go to three branches to cash a $90 check because two of the branches their system was out. Then I get to the third one I have to get out of line to have my check verified and then have to stand back in line to get my check cashed. And then on top of that they charged me $8. I wish there was a way to charge them for my time. I want to contact all of my customers at bank with them and have them switch to another Bank and so far I've had 5 of them switch over because of the poor service. The only good thing about it now is I'm going to make $2 and charge every customer I have that doesn't change Banks $10 for a check cashing fee. It's ridiculous Banks charge a non-customer a fee to cash a check. I will make sure to bank with somebody who does not charge a fee to cash a check. Bank of America sucks

Worst experience

My name is Nimesha. I recently came to United States for masters degree with millions of dreams, I was suggested by my friends to open an account in Bank of America. I had my semester fee due so i had my friend transfer me 1500$, he asked for my phone number and i gave him(He is also Bank of America Customer) there was a small mistake with the phone number. My phone number is XXXX186740 but the money was transferred to XXXX186470. I wonder how unsecured the Bank is to transfer the money with just a single phone number without any form of second verification this is insane. my friend called the customer support immediately as soon as he realized that it was sent to a different phone number and they simply said that they cant assure that i can get my money back but they would start a research and provided me with the claim number XXXXXX00304 and said it might take 15 days and its already been 15 days when called no proper response. Now we are being asked to wait 45 business days. i wouldn't recommend Bofa to any of my friends. This is just a human error. Being such a big financial company how could the Bank of America not Anticipate this situation might come to any new customers. When sending a little bigger amount why would it not ask for anything like my first name or last name. just with a phone number?. seriously? have anyone ever thought of the consequences? no alternative? other than just telling the customer that "sorry we cant do anything, its your mistake of sending the wrong number". Have you not thought of new customers? people make mistakes when they are new. no cross verification. Isn't this so insecure. i am gonna let the other people know in social media that what if this might happen to them. Bank of america is not safe. During opening a new account, bank promises to give every single help but when the situation comes they step back and say " oh! sorry we cant help you, We cant promise you would get the money" damn insane, frustrating all the feelings in my head such a bad experience with this bank. thank you so much for not helping the common customer. Every time i go to Bank of America it’s never any tellers to accommodate the people in line. They have one teller working the inside and drive tru. Friday and Saturday is the busiest days only 2 tellers. I never can go there and get in and out. 1/2 hour in a bank to cash a check or any business is unacceptable with the fees they charge. I’m searching for banking elsewhere I can’t anymore. There going to lose more customers than they can blink.

MORTGAGE FRAUD by fugutive United Kingdom

Escrow account was created pay property tax and a payment arrangements was already in place...mortgage payment increased my $863.00 PER MONTH... SERVERAL MONTH AGO CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS FAILED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. A third party is implemented technology from the United Kingdom to steal money...by forcing senior citizens to pay...fugutive are using this black market technique to rob innocent victims. A terrible experience!

I want to cash a check for $87 at Bank of America and because I didn't have an account there anymore they charged me $8 to cash that check no wonder I closed my account out this place is not good! as I was waiting in line there were two customers very upset about how bad the service was one of them being a little old lady I felt so sorry for the manager was practically screaming at her this is a terrible Bank please don't go there! EVERY TIME I go into the bank there are lines at the auto window and not enough tellers at the inside windows. I always have to wait 10 mt15 min every time I go in to make a deposit etc. The bank Mgr or whatever his title is, is scurrying around looking important, accomplishing nothing. Todays visit was no exception. The lady behind me confirmed my complaint by saying she also has had to wait excessive time each visit. Today I was 3rd in line inside. There was one teller hung up with a complicated deposit of some kind, and one teller for the line of cars outside. After 15 min. the "executive" mentioned above, went to the last person in line, by now number 5 or 6, took his transaction to "help". All he did was go to the auto teller with the transaction for her to handle, it making the wait longer than it was. He eventually came to me asking if he could take care of my transaction, I had a deposit, all paperwork and my deposit slip made out. He asked for my atm card, and when I said I didn't have it he went to someone else. This was a deposit not a request to cash a check. I keep a minimum of $10,000.00 in my checking account, a very good customer. Disturbed, I left the bank thinking of moving my accounts, which I have had for 10 years, to the Chase located next door.
