I hear your frustration, but our story is a bit different. We did not do a loan modification, but BofA fraudulently reported that we did. I requested info on their loan mod ...

My payments were $1863.00 two years ago when my husband lost his job. We asked Bank of America for a modification. We sent in all the paperwork they requested 17 times. They finally decided after 2 years to raise our note from $1863.00 to $2717.00 indicating that we...

Bank of America charged me late fees while i was serving in afghanistan

While serving in Afghanistan Bank of America charged me late fees and reported me to the credit agencies even though i paid them and was covered under the soldiers sailors relief act. They said my SSRA papers were processed wrong and after 6 months of fighting with them they adjusted the interest rate and paid me back the late fees. The problem i have is they refuse to correct it with the credit agencies. Its been almost three years and its like fighting with a 4 yr old. Even their employees say that its messed up and they will fix it but i always get a letter saying they dont fix reported late payments

Bank of America Mortgage Practices

I know so many customers of Bank of America are experiencing the same problems with denial of Loan/Mortgage Modifications, but I am telling you to fight on. I have been battling them for over a year and have been deceived, flat out lied to, and stalled at every turn. I continue to do my research and below are the names and addresses of those bringing a new lawsuit against BoA. Write them, give them details of what you have been going through and be accurate and truthful. The masses, such as us, can be successful if we act as one. Christy L. Romero, (Christy L Romero 1801 L NW St Washington, DC 20036) the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP); Preet Bharara (United States Attorney's Office"¨1 St. Andrews Plaza"¨New York City, NY 10007), the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York; and Steve A. Linick, (Federal Housing Finance Agency | Office of Inspector General"¨400 Seventh Street, SW"¨Washington, DC 20024) the Inspector General of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) have announced that the U.S. has filed a civil mortgage fraud lawsuit against Bank of America Corporation and its predecessors Countrywide Financial Corporation and Countrywide Home Loans Inc. The Government's Complaint seeks damages and civil penalties under the False Claims Act and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA) for engaging in a scheme to defraud Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Specifically, the complaint alleges that from at least 2007-2009, Countrywide, and later Bank of America after acquiring Countrywide in 2008, implemented a new loan origination process called the "Hustle," which was intentionally designed to process loans at high speed and without quality control (QC) checkpoints, and which generated thousands of fraudulent and otherwise defective residential mortgage loans sold to Fannie and Freddie that later defaulted, causing $1 billion-plus in losses and foreclosures. FIGHT ON!

Bank of American does not honor its promotion

I responded to a BOA offer and opened a e-checking account and made three payments to my BOA credit cards to see if BOA will honor its $150 offer for doing so. BOA does not honor its offer. The reason? They said on-line transfer deposit is NOT a deposit. It is so ridiculous that I now can what people will go through if they owe BOA money. I am very carefully in fulfilling the requirements as it is just a game. But judging BOA's response, I know it is just a fraudulent promotion. American Express recently settled with government regarding its points promotion. These days, all those "promotions" are just frauds.
