Resolved: BOA Bank Of America Better Balance Rewards Credit card Scam
I wrote a consumer bureau and the president of the bank. Both investigated.
The presidents office agreed to resolve the issue with me, thank you.
The consumer bureau was nice at first. I told them about the $1.99 writeoffs and they pretty much LIED about them and...
BUT employees are doing everything they can to not pay. NOT FAIR!. At first they said they denied my payments because I paid too early...and their system needed me to wait. So I set up autopay.
Then they denied my payment because I had my bonus applied and my bill was paid off and the autopay did not pay any more and they said I never met minimum payment. I read other negative reviews where #BankofAmerica employees are denying rewards by nefarious means. They allegedly are going into client accounts and writing off low balance cards quarterly so "no payment is due" and thus "no bonus is earned". (Write off balances of $1.99.
SHAME on BOA. They also will not pay bonus unless you complain..and then they try to skate. I've had to fight with them for bonus and they say it is system determined. NOT TRUE.
I don't trust BOA and I have been a customer since 2004. If you do sign up..Charge at least $26 to card monthly. Set up an automatic ONE DOLLAR flat payment to card (in addition to any ebill generated). That gets around write off scheme or credit or zero balance.
And don't have your bonus applied ot the card, but instead send to BOA checking. MY quarterly bonus was applied EARLY so it wiped out my $24.95 balance so one quarter's bonus wiped out the next quarter's bonus. BOA would not fix it..and said the bonus was not programmed as a payment even though they advertise I can use it to pay down my bill. SLEEZY company.
RUN! I am a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Bank Of America - Customer Care Review
Bank of America --- POD account
Let me begin by saying my father has been a customer of Bank of America for over 40 at a branch in Clarksville, Virginia. At his passing two years ago, my sister and I went to the branch in Clarksville and informed the Branch Manager Mrs. good that my father had passed. We filled out all of the necessary paperwork and they faxed the Death Certificate to the Estate Division of BOA. Every one of the branch employees were sad about my Dad’s passing, they all knew him by name. Last month we were informed the account would be closed for lack of activity and funds sent to the State of Virginia. The account was active with funds going in and out to pay bills.
This past Saturday after an hour at the local branch in Springfield, VA I was told I could not access the funds until the POD account was re-opened. I called the Estate Office spoke to Manager Rebe cca who did not offer any customer service, except that I would have to send in a Closure Request to have the funds available. She could not explain why my original paper work was not on file. But I was told Saturday and before I spoke to Manger RM that they had no paper work on my dad’s account. The branch manager sent the paper work Saturday because it could not be found...all of a sudden the Estate office found the file with Death Cert. from 2014.
My resolve: Do not open an account and put your loved ones on the account with the notation of POD because it could be a future problem after you are gone.

Bank of America is a joke.. It should be name Bank of Rudeness...
I went to get money out of my account around 12 noon on August 20, 2017. Upon getting an inquiry I realized my account balance was not correct.
I went to the car and called Bank of America and was told my card was used in Stanton and Anaheim Ca. on August 19 & the early morning of August 20, 2017.
Now, the issue is I've always had my debit card, I have not given my PIN number to anyone and I have not been in Stanton or Anaheim in a few months.
However, BoA is telling me I had to give someone my card and PIN number. So, BoA will not reimburse me my unemployment funds. I filed a police report with my local sheriff department and they in turn will file the issue with the cities where the fruad occurred.
The had 3 or 4 inquiries before my account was debited each time. You would think to BoA that would be suspect to that activity and call me on the first day or at the least send me an email like every other bank or credit union. They didn't do anything to even try to prevent the fruad the next day.
Not to mention the woman @ BoA in both the call center that took the report and in my local branch in Diamond Bar Ca.
was extremely rude. While I was in Bank of America on August 22, 2017 there were other people in the bank complaining about fraud on their account also. Something is just not right.
I feel as though I was Financially RAPED by someone that stole my funds and now I feel as though I'm being RAPED by Bank of America.
HOW SAFE IS OUR MONEY??
