Bank Of America Online Banking Review from Santa Monica, California

I have been trying for many months to set up automatic payments on my credit card. But Bank of America online banking supervisor DAN MARTIN!! tells me I can't. Because I need to work with my ex husband to get him to remove bill pay. How? My ex screwed me over and stopped paying my account which screwed with my credit and got my account closed. They keep telling me that my privacy and my credit card information will continue to be sent to my ex and that I, owner of the card, have no control over my privacy. This is the worst credit card company and the worst customer service ever. The guy Dan Martin and his associates were rude and argumentative. I am so sick and disgusted by Bank of America

Check deposited late pm at competitor bank. Auto deposit goes in at midnight to boa. Outstanding checks listed as cleared in a.m. following day on online banking app. By noon, checks have been backdated to timestamp to generate overdraft fees even though actual processing didn't occur well after midnight. Bottom line, funds are available before checks are processed in fact. Processing is back dated to eliminate float and generate unearned income for the bank during hours of the day when no one is working. Clever, but wrong.

Bank Of America in San Bruno, California - Breach of privacy!!

I added my father to my checking account as a joint authorized signer and the incompetant BofA representative linked my personal account with my father's joint account with his wife. Now, his wife can see my personal account when she logs in through online banking. I called the 1-800 number and the customer service representative was extremely rude and had no idea what to say to me so I asked for a manager who was even more rude and was unable to help me. BofA has the worst customer service! I am not dropping this, I am closing my account but will look into legal action as this is a breach in my privacy!

Bank of America is all around terrible. They even create *** signature cards ( fake).

They created a bogus sig. card and put my name on it.

if you are a boa customer you run the risk of a fake sig. card being entered into their system-with your name on it.

sessa,

Original post regarding ACH charges and the information regarding my "bit of paranoia".

(Overdraft charges, after a stop payment, against an empty closed account!)

Bank of America completely ignored my stop payment on a closed account and charged me for the Carleton Sheets, No Money down scam.

I stopped payment on this scam and was absolutely astounded when I found out later they had decided to charge me in contradiction to a confirmed stop payment.

I sat down with the bank officer and placed a stop payment on the purchase. I emptied and closed my account.

The bank turned around and placed an overdraft on my closed, empty account. Not just the $19.95 as advertised on TV but an unbelievable $504.85.

I took the bill back to loan officer who, just two days earlier, assured me the stop payment was complete. She stone facedly told me there was nothing she could do.

Nothing? I sat and watched as she stopped payment on

the transaction, gave me a receipt and closed that account just two days

earlier. She than suggested I could dispute the bill!

Dispute the Bill? (I didn't want to be involved with this scam!)

I sat in her office again while she called and put in a dispute and two weeks later the bank told me I had ordered the course. (Yes I did and I didn’t want it!)

Just two months earlier I made sure a block was put on my account. My bank statement had $105 in overdraft fees for a loaf of bread, a Sunday newspaper and 5 gallons of gas for my lawnmower. After a long discussion about courtesy verses paying $35 for a loaf of bread, the loan officer reluctantly put a block on all my accounts for any overdrafts.

(If I don’t have any money in one of my accounts don’t charge me $35 for a newspaper, let me use another form of payment!)

So with a block on that account, facing a $19.95 reoccurring monthly fee for some type of No Money down update, I was done with it! I paid to stop payment on the Scam and closed out that account.

Than, the Bank of America scammed me again! Two days later they “paid” the scammers $504.85 out of a stopped payment, closed, blocked and empty account and charged the entire overdraft to me!

To this day I still don’t have that *** Carleton Sheets course but I sure paid for it!

Bank of America lacks customer service

After Bank of America's on line banking site refused my login info repeatedly it locked me out and gave me an 800 number which couldn't be use until the next day. After a full hour I end up giving the same info to two people and ending up with the 800 number which I couldn't use. They wasted my time, told me my branch didn't match their records. Account numbers, code number on the back of the ATM card, even my mothers maiden name if they wanted it, I had it all but I don't match their records. I have detailed information on the accounts I closed but my branch didn't match their records? What about all the questions and information I had the answers for? The supervisor was no better. He asked the exact same questions and I repeated the first half hour with another half hour only to get that magical 800 number that was currently unavailable. I closed two accounts earlier this month at BOA and tomorrow rather than call the 800 number I will close a third. I closed the other accounts after they cost me $52 because BOA rejected my account info. When I went to the branch they gave me new routing numbers so I could order new checks which I did only to find the new numbers were incorrect and of course they were rejected also. Of course they accepted absolutely no responsibility for the checks that were rejected and suggested that the electric company must have done something wrong. It was the bank that rejected previously valid account numbers, no one else. Stay with your local bank.

Bank Of America in Fresno, California - Attempt to get billing info from me!

They ask "to be reactived please update your billing information today by clicking - www.bankofamerica.com/account/re-activation/" To make this 100 words I will just fill in what ever, a little rediculous They add a "P.S. The link in this message will be expire within 24 Hours You have to update your payment information" I find this adding 100 words just a little ***!!!!! That last sentence reads exactly as I wrote it!!! Jerry C. Smith

I don't think that was actually Bank of America, but a scammer phishing, posing as Bank of America.

Bank of America

Just a heads up for the new system. It appears after talking to a customer service person that your history and balance is not actual. When checking your statements online, you can see your balance and all the transactions that got you there. But interesting, an overdraft fee for??? So when you call them they tell you you have to look somewhere else, that the balance you see is not the actual balance. I was also told that they made this change because the customers requested this... So they are still scamming people with overdrafts. After a thorough review, there is still no excuse for an overdraft fee. The account was positive, and they refuse to reverse it!

In 2004, I went to deposit a check in my bank account and get cash back. I was informed that I couldn't cash my check and deposit the rest because my account was overdrawn.

This wasn't possible, since I had $11.00 in my account that I had not touched. When asked to explain how I was overdrawn and by how much they informed me I was overdrawn $94.00. I got very angry, very quickly. So after more than 15 minutes arguing with the desk clerk and the branch manager, I was given a phone to call their customer support line.

I was then informed that my account went negative from a $35.00 charge for...NOTHING. There was no reason for the initial $35.00 charge. So when this fake charge got applied to my account it overdrew my account, triggering an overdraft fee, which of course led to another overdraft fee when they tried to put it through again. So I called them out on their bs.

The lady on the phone apologized saying that she didn't understand how this even happened and that to resolve it she would gladly remove that initial $35.00 charge but would leave the remaining overdraft fees where they were. I got livid and explained that the only reason there ever were any overdraft fees was because of their fake charge.

The lady said "Oh, no, sir, those overdraft fees were legitimate at the time they were applied so they stay. Your account was overdrawn so you have to pay those."

I still do not work with Bank of America since then and will never tell anybody to use their services under any circumstances.
