I was in Ohio for a week for my grandmother's funeral. I usually alert my BofA when I am traveling but forgot this time. While in Ohio I was doing a lot of things to finalize the funeral arrangements, with having my cousins send money to me through CashApp to help pay...

Bank Of America in Corning, California - Thieves
We closed or accounts with BofA 25 years ago when they started holding all of our deposits until after checks would come in sometimes a week later they were bouncing everything including the last checks we wrote even after I waited several days and called to confirm that the funds were available before writing any checks. they bounced them all saying after they applied the bounce charges on the 4 checks there was no longer enough money to cover the check and that was why I was over drawn again. I talked to 4 people and asked where you get bounce charges on checks there was money in there to cover and they all said the same thing "you just don't understand" we closed our accounts that day.

Bank Of America Checking Account Review from North Hills, California
The worst banking experience I have ever had. I have Small Business checking account and signed up for payroll service. The monthly fee has to be waived as I signed up for payroll. But I have been getting charged the monthly fee for the last 4 months and every time I call customer service they credit the fee saying some error and it should not happen again. I have been spending hours on the phone with these people and nobody cares for me. They do not fix the root cause and ask the same questions again and again. This is the worst banking experience I have ever had. I have been telling this to all in my circle to make sure they do not get into this trap. I will keep this publicity going in all the forums as long as it is resolved.

Bank Of America in San Ramon, California - FEES ON FEES ON FEES
Bank of America is the WORST BANK ever. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. They charge you fees left and right, for any reason they can. They practically steal money from you and then won't refund it. This may not seem like a huge deal to some people, but to a poor college student, it is the worst thing to open your online banking to. Honestly, I can't believe I've stuck it out this long, but tomorrow will be the day that I finally close my account and breathe a sigh of relief. So much for being a BoA customer. Never again.

Bank Of America - Received incorrect account information at two San Francisco branches
I have been a Bank of America customer since 1949 and have had up to three accounts at a time with the bank. Yesterday, March 19, 2015, I dropped by the Sunset Branch on Irving Street in San Francisco to get my checking account balance and was told by the teller that it was under $10. I knew that was not correct and questioned the teller again, but he gave me the same answer. Rather than argue I came home to check it on the computer, and yes, the correct amount was over $1,000. He had given me my Visa account debit balance, not my checking account balance. Later that afternoon I paid a second visit to the Diamond Heights Branch, also in San Francisco, to resolve a Visa card matter I had questioned approximately two weeks previously. My Visa card had expired on March 1, 2015, but the new card I was sent was totally different from my old one. With the old one I had been able to access the ATM, use it to charge purchases and to receive a statement for the debit balance once a month. The Personal Banker I was dealing with told me that the bank had never offered such a card and that now I would need TWO cards, one for the ATM and also a debit card. I told him that I had applied for a Cash Rewards card but that I was not sure that was what I needed. HE DID NOT FULLY EXPLAIN THE FEATURES OF THE CASH REWARDS CARD NOR DID HE CLEARLY ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. HE DID SUCCEED IN MAKING ME FEEL LIKE AN *** AND OBVIOUSLY JUST WISHED THAT I WOULD GO AWAY. Here's the heart of my complaint: When I questioned the benefit to me of the Cash Rewards card he told me it didn't matter because the account I had opened just a couple of weeks earlier had been closed, and all new applications would have to be submitted. I asked why, if that indeed had happened, the account could not simply be reopened, and he said it could not. I left in disgust and came home to resolve this matter by contacting Bank of America's Live Chat. The person on the other end of the line could not have been more helpful and in the end told me that the account had NOT been closed and to simply activate the card I had in my possession. It worked like a charm. It was a VERY BAD day for my relationship with Bank of America at the branch level, and it is easy to understand why the Bank gets the lowest ratings of any bank for Customer Service.

Bank Of America in Los Angeles, California - 'Forcing Close' My Checking Account 'Abitrarily'
.... Bank of America is trying to 'force close' my checking account. I've held them at 'bay' for a month as i have severl direct deposit's there... They have given me no direct answer why. I figure it is because the direct deposits are all from other B of A accounts and I empty the account---PRONTO... B of A stretch's the 'spirit' of fed and state banking laws TO THE MAX, and has for decades--- The creeps move to North Carolina from San Francisco (where it was founded over 80 + yrs ago) in order to escape Calif. banking laws. I'm looking to form a class action suit against them not just for this 'issue' but others as well. I have the law firm--- Jones-Day, the 2nd largest in the world, on 5 contintenents AND headquartered in DC Please RSVP to if interested... Respectfully Yours, Daniel Carroll Sunset Beach, CA 90742
