To add to my last complaint. The issue that I thought was resolved after much frustration was not.
I didn't receive my "expedited shipment" of my new Bank of America travel card as promised. I phoned the number on my travel card again on October 5 and was told that the card would be expedited. On the 15, we had not received the "expedited" card, and so I phoned the company again on October 15th to find out what had happened to our card and were informed that the card had "not" been expedited (just mailed) as expecting and should arrive by October 18th. We went out of town for a week and when we returned, still no card.
Phoned again on the 25th and asked for a supervisor and spoke with Elizabeth in Nevada, who apologized for our situation and said that she would "overnight" our card to be delivered on the 26th. It was not delivered on the 26th. The UPS tracking inquiry informed me that the package would be delivered that day. Later on the 26th, I received a message from UPS saying that the card would be delivered by 7:00 p.m.
that evening. It was not. Security cameras showed that there were no attempts to deliver at all.
On the 29, after not receiving, we phoned again and spoke with Marilyn who apologized, and we again asked to speak to a supervisor. We spoke with the supervisor, (name was Edgar) who disclaimed any responsibility and told me that it was a UPS problem, for which I had to initiate the search for the package from our end.
I asked why Bank of America wasn't responsible since they were the shipper but continued to deny any responsibility. He was not interested in our situation. On October 30, we phoned again and spoke to Ashton in South Carolina about our situation. She was extremely helpful and assured us that we would get an overnight shipment from UPS.
We did not get the package on the 31st, so we called again on November 1 and spoke with Steven in Montana. He told us that it was shipped by an expedited source and would go out on that day. Thankfully, Ashton in South Carolina had done her job. The card was finally delivered by UPS on November 2.
It took a month to finally get my "expedited" credit card through Bank of America. Fortunately, we used a credit credit card from an obviously better bank.
User's recommendation: Assume that the Bank of America will have issues transferring you to the right office. And expect UPS to not be reliable.
Preferred solution: I just hope that someone looks into the issue Bank of America has with their interface with UPS and other sources of transportation. A month to get a reissued credit card is insane..
Bank Of America Pros: Convenient, Multiple locations.
Location: Cornelius, North Carolina
