"I admit that my account was troubled. But BOA never loss any money from my account."What does that mean? Does it mean you bounce checks all the time and use overdraft as a way to manage your cash flow?Do you mean they lost nothing as you always paid back the fees you racked up?Are you one of those people who think they can make good on a year's worth of bad financial decisions but splitting up that tax check and sending a little piece in 20 different directions?I'm curious, if you have a savings with BOA, why in the world would you have sent the return to a "troubled account?"That makes zero sense. They close troubled accounts when people keep doing the same thing over and over again. Especially those who leave negative balances and pay them when they feel like it.

Bank Of America in Chicago, Illinois - Denial of a mortgage for existing customer

1.0
Details
These liars look fo any pretext to issue a new loan at a lower interest rate. This is a text that I sent their customer service even though will change nothing! The reason for the denial as stated in your email dated on 08/16/2016 is absolutely false. I have provided the declaration of the HO-6 policy 3 times by e-mail and fax. The Building has provided the copy of the declaration of the master policy as well as enough proof of property and liability insurance. In Bank of America you are completely inefficient and incompetent, the left hand does not know what the right hand does. I was called 3 and 4 times on the phone by some of your "processors" asking the same information again and again. I am in the financial industry and I never dealt with such a group of incompetent and careless people. Of course the lack of care manifested is directly proportional to the number of complaints that you have in record which denotes not only your incompetence, but also your negligent behavior. I am placing complaints with CFPB and many other regulatory Boards to request that you cease your deceiving and incompetent way to conduct business. Jaime M. Rojkind CFP

Bank Of America in Chicago, Illinois - Costs me more to Refinance than to keep my 6.75% Rate

2.0
Details
Every week I get two to three solicitations to "refinance" my mortgage. Unfortunately, the costs of refinancing make it not worthwhile to do so, as I have been making extra principal payments and in fact could pay the whole thing off. The same thing happens monthly when I walk my mortgage payment to my local bank. Apparently, this institution doesn't understand why it would *** me off to pay such a high rate when they have written off loans to those who didn't pay. Even if they were to offer me the lower rate they would still make $, considering they pay .01% on any type of savings. The only silver cloud is that I can deduct the interest on my tax return.

I am truly surprised there arent more complaints like yours on here. I am sorry you got involved with BOA.

My story... I became disabled, and asked BOA to please provide me forbearance for 4 months until I received my settlement. They said I had to not pay them for 3 months before they could do anything. So I didnt pay my mortgage for 3 months like they said.

At which point, they sent me an intent to foreclose notice. I responded back reminding them I was getting a settlement soon, and could repay past payments in full, and of course all future payments. They said I would probably get my settlement before it went into forclosure, and not to worry. I got my settlement when I said I would, and wrote back stating I was ready to repay my past payments, so please send me a repayment statement of how much I owed with penalties and such.

They said they would. I waited a few weeks, with no response, so I wrote them again. They said I would receive the repayment notice in a few days. Instead of sending me a repayment invoice, they sent me a foreclosure notice!

I contacted them again and asked what the *** was going on? They again said they would send me the repayment schedule. After about another 2 weeks, they sent me the repayment schedule, but including over $10,000 in attorney's fees for filing the foreclosure. On top of that, they raised my mortgage payment over $100 per month.

I contacted an attorney for help, and he showed me a stack of papers over 3 feet high with complaints about BOA, with court dates stretching out over a year. He suggested I sell my property and get out from under BOA. I tried to sell it, tried to refinance it, but since it was in foreclosure, nobody wanted to touch it. I had never missed a payment, my credit was flawless, and they threw me out in the street.

I later found out BOA and Wells Fargo through thousands, yes thousands, of people such as myself out in the street. Why anyone would ever do business with either of these banks is beyond me?

Bank Of America in Chicago, Illinois - Modification request not properly handled, home in foreclosure

Due to medical expenses I fell behind in my mortgage payments after 15 years of consistency. I applied for modication, submitted requested documents. Each time I followed up I had a different agent. The 3rd agent said all documents requested were received (I re-sent more than 3 times). Finally, after about 3 months I received a letter saying I was denied due to missing documents. I then attempted to get on a payment plan. They requested over $6,000, so I was gonna borrow from my credit union. The agent told me after payment is received, I would be required to pay $2,000.00 for the next 4 months and future payments would be re-calulated. I explained that their delays also added lateness to my payments and I could not afford $2,000 a month. I pleaded for a monthly payment that I could afford, to no avail. Then I attempted the Short Sale process and was denied. I received notice that my home would be on public Auction next month.

Fight them. Keep calling until you get answers.

We the consumers have rights. There are numerous lawsuits stating and finding their tactics are illegal.

If you haven't been contacted by them yet since you posted on here they will contact you. They have a social media department dedicated to trolling the internet for pissed off customers.

Bank of America is "THE ABSOLUTE WORST" Bank in ths industry

In 2012, I entered into a trial modification, was only suppose to last three months.. I am still in it!! paying a much higher amount that what my mortgage is was. You call your "Account Manager" which has been switched 3 times since inception of the modification, and they never call back...I had a half way decent manager, and then Poof, she gone, then they have the nerve to reference you to their manager, who don't return calls either. How can you operate on such dismal terms and think people suppose to "trust" you with their money and mortgage, and the government bailed these ripoff, ***-artists bail-out money !? Bank of America needs to burn... How can the CEO sleep at night knowing patrons are losing their homes because of the lack of commitment of customer service to their customers has sorely FAILED!!!!!
