After finally receiving my back payments for workmans comp, 2 small checks and one large check over 15,000.00, a hold was placed on the one check for 15,000. I can understand a hold but for over 1 week is not ok especially when the other two smaller checks from the same source cleared.

Bank of America charges maintenance fees on closed accout!

I closed a checking account with Bank of America over the phone, or so I thought. For the next two months they charged an $8 maintenance fee on the account. Then sent me a letter saying I owed them $16. Typical big bank screwing over customers. I called and they told me when my request to close the account was made the account had 1 penny in it so they couldn't close it. But they never told me that! I assumed it was closed. Now they are saying I owe the money anyway even though it was their mistake by not telling me on the original call that they couldn't close the account unless it had a zero balance.

I have used a B of A VISA for a dozen years, specifically to track expenses on my home. I sold that house, so I stopped using the card... leaving a rewards balance. With the bonus B of A promises on their website for account holders in my situation, the reward came to slightly over $30. But since the balance BEFORE THE BONUS is under $25, their computer wouldn't let me request the reward. I called customer service. They said their computer wouldn't let them enter the reward. I asked whether a supervisor could over-ride the computer. They connected me to a supervisor. I explained the situation to the supervisor, including that I've stopped using that card (I have other B of A cards still in use... none of them are in arrears). Supervisor said "That's easy, sir. Keep using the card!" Did she see how the amount was over the minumum? "Yes". Could she over-ride the computer under those circumstances? "No sir. We can't do that." I believe her. B of A management doesn't let their personnel respond flexibly, even when all parties agree on the issue and solution. Bottom line: don't expect to get the promised rewards unless you use a card forever.

I live in west boylston ma will no longer us that branch very rude customers service so when to branch in Worcester do not appreciate getting in line waiting my turn and being asked what my bank business is I was making a withdrawal of a substantial amount I was told to use atm it really isn't anyone in line business why I am there which the ladies questions were. Heard by everyone I value my personal Financial business obviously bank of America does not so you can count on my account being close privately and moving to another bank and I quite frankly will pass the word on if you have a rude rude can't tellers at the West Boylston branch and nosy receptionist want to know your business of how much you're taking out in front of customers is that normal procedure for your employers to announce how much and where I should be taking my money and my money is my personal business and I will not be harassed or treated rudely in any Bank and Bank of America has to be the rudest customer service ever

9th in a line of 12. This happens every day. 2 tellers and the management standing around watching. It takes 15-30 minutes to get to the counter. Unacceptable customer service. When you get to the counter, service is great but this is the new normal. Not enough staffing for times they KNOW are busy. Snap out of your cheapness bank of america

I am a 35 year retiree from Bank of Boston. I received a letter from Bank of America January of 2015 to re-apply for my existing equity line of credit. I have this line of credit for many years with an excellent credit record. I went to my branch in Wilmington MA showing letter to the loan officer and obliged to help with a new equity credit line for me and wife. I gave him all my personal records. My complaint is I was tossed around for a year and a half which is outrageous especially with my outstanding record. I look forward from hearing from with an explanation. My assets are over a million dollars. The courtesy given to me was outrageous.

I tried to refinance my mrtgage with BOA. The loan officer wasted my time repeatedly asking for the same documents, asked the same questions many times, did not upload necessary documents for underwriter,s review until I called to make sure things are moving forward. At the end, despite my insurance company,s explanation, neither the loan officer nor the underwriter understood the home insurance system of my property (my property is a two-unit condominium governed by a trust). They asked me and the insurance agency for additional work, then after that, they stopped responding to my calls or emails. The loan officer wasted my two months of time and lots of effort put in this process. Their dishonest and irresponsible attitude is just remarkable. I will never use BOA,s loan service.

Bank Of America in Brookline, Massachusetts - BOA mortgage loan officer

I wasted 2 months with an incompetent loan officer who did not do things right. BOA is totally disorganized. I need to submit same materials over and over. The officer has no idea how important my time is, called me whenever he needed additional materials, often one day before the deadline. The underwriter did not understand the insurance system for the type of property that I was trying to refinance, and rejected my application despite the thorough explanation of the insurance agency. BOA in fact approved my mortgage application 6 years ago with the same property and the same insurance. The loan officer became unresponsive, kept ignored my emails and calls.
