If you need something beyond routine procedures, the local branch will wind up on hold for an hour with headquarters back east while you are sitting there....the Bank of America estate unit is the most inept group on earth....you may get the runaround for months on end. Six trips to B of A, all an hour or more long, plus many letters in the mail and several hour-long phone calls of my own with the estate division, and still I wait for a check, and I have provided everything they could possibly need.

I was able to get a check for the other account only after I told them I'd be turning it over to an attorney if I didn't have a check by the end of the day. My advice is to START with an attorney.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
