Bank of america really screwed me over

When I looked at my bank account and my checking said Zero I hit the roof and had to transfer funds from savings as I have to pay an attorney almost a grand today for the will he has prepared for me and I will pick it up today. I would NEVER RECOMMENT THEM FOR ANYTHING.

There should be someone available at all times for fraud, 24/7. If we wait, the person continues to make fraud disputes over and over.

Totally agree but Bank of America seems to be cutting expenses to save money at the customer's expense. A shame.

Is the bank also laying off employees and going automation/AI to save money?

My hold time to speak to a live rep/human, which is who I want, is now about 1 hour! Just awful, and a disservice to both the bank's loyal employees and customers.

Bank Of America - Denied access to online account

I recently became the POA (Power of Attorney) for my elderly, disabled sister. I took the documentation to BofA and was put on her account as POA and given checks with my name on them as POA.

However, my sister has been in hospice since March (it is now the end of May), is on oxygen, is only functioning on about 25% of her heart, and does not have the mental capacity to remember her online banking sign in information. She had a car accident and her pocketbook and wallet have been missing since that time. Her phone service has been turned off and none of her recovery information is accurate. BofA absolutely refuses to give me access to her online account, so I cannot see what money comes in or goes out of the account.

I also cannot provide the financial details to Medicaid to maintain her residence at the nursing facility. I may have to risk her life to take her to a branch office to accomplish this.

If your name is on the account and the checks, what is stopping you from physically sitting down with a bank employee to get statement printouts?

The bank wants to save money by not having customers use live employees so they can let them go and save money steering customers to automated systems even if they do not know how to use it or do not want to do that., imo.

Multiple charges of same amount from Walmart

I verified that it was a valid charge. I went back to the Walmart site to add to my order, but Walmart would not process it. It was not until I checked my BOA account, that I saw Walmart submitted original charge 11 times because [PERSON_NAME] rejected the the charge. When I spoke to a BOA rep, I was informed of what Walmart was tryying to do and [PERSON_NAME] rejected the charge.

I also learned that [PERSON_NAME] reversed all the charges. I was also told I could go back to [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA] site and reorder the orinal items.

I will wait until 5/23 to do this.

The rep was very helpful in explaining what was going on which out my mind at ease.

*** once put $25,000 of someone else's money into my account and made me spend 4 hours on the phone with customer service to fix their error and get the money back to its rightful owner. I told them if they make such a mistake again I am keeping the money. Double-check every transaction you make with them.

Bank of America's long hold times are unacceptable and disrespectful to the customers. So is the company's relentless upsell from the automated system (doubly disrespectful) while on hold with no bypass, opt-out or option to listen to soothing music while on hold, e.g.

Rather than listen to the automated system's upsell nonsense - which makes me for sure NOT use any of its other services - I am taking this unnecessarily long hold time to write a negative review about BOA, which I call Boa Constrictor, to warn others that the bank wants to do what's' best for itself, not its customers. The incredibly bad automated system is now telling me that the company "is doing its best" to get me to a live representative quickly. No, it is not. It wants callers to use the automated system so the company can lay off the live reps which cost the company money.

*** should hire more reps to cut down the hold time, that would be customer friendly. BOA used to be good but no longer with its greed and poor customer service.

I am on hold now for about 20 minutes to get a simple answer from a live rep during a non-peak time. Not acceptable.

I am now on hold over 45 minutes. No, I am not using your mobile app, I would rather change banks that out the customer and service in customer service.

Bank of America is getting worse and worse. I hope it gets better.

The day ***, the temporary branch manager, told me I could never leave Bank of America, I didn't believe it! Now I know he was right!

Claims are put on my account almost daily... I speak with the fraud department and hear in 7 days they'll be gone! Yeah, right to my account, which leaves me in the negative!!! I just give up!

I filed a complaint about ***; he's still there! I am almost a 69-year-old liver transplant patient, and I don't know how much longer I can keep going.

Physically and emotionally, I am exhausted! This is how they treat a 16-year customer.

Okay, I called in and was on hold for 30 minutes. Then I called again and put myself on the call back list.

I question Bk of America 's security method as I have had to cancel several cards, kept getting hacked or notified of suspicious activity and get new accounts and cards. Finally said am done cancel.

Decided to cancel all accounts. Was not satisfied with failures of security on my accounts. Very disappointing.
