I got a letter on May 6th saying "your accounts listed above will be restricted from use in 50 days and permanently closed 60 days from the date of this notice"Initially I thought this was a scam or a hoax because my wife and I have had an active checking account with BOA for over 20 years and a thriving business/merchant account since 2017. We have exceptional credit ratings in the 800's, have never gone overdrawn, missed a credit card payment etc etc etc. So I called the number on the bottom of the letter and finally ended up with this idiot (Jesus 844 253 3707 - naming and shaming here deliberately 'cos these people need to be called out). He came out with "We're closing your account because we believe BOA can no longer meet your business banking needs and just as you have the right to close an account so do we" - WHAT???? I have never complained about BOA not being able to fulfill my bankings needs so what is all this about? I said I wanted to talk to his boss because this is obviously a mistake - He then told me he was the Account Manager for my account and there was nobody else to talk to. So I said well if that is the case then you must have been the one to make this decision to close my account, so you can give me a reason why. Needless to say he just went back to the script, so I lost it a bit and said 'you're not an account manager you're just a mouthpiece for a s**thole bank' and hung up. Have arranged a confrontation at my local branch next week, who helped me and actively encouraged me to set up my Business Account with them. Be interesting to see how that goes. I just cannot believe that an institution like this can treat people this way. If I had been dissatisfied with the bank I would have communicated that to them and at least given them the opportunity to remedy the situation, but for them to just decide that they want to dump me for no reason and not give any kind of explanation is a disgrace. And laughably I said will this apply to my older personal account? He said no, so you can imagine what I said they could do with all of my other accounts! AND even more stupid 3 weeks ago I got a call from BOA small business, asking me if I was interested in obtaining a business loan!!!!
It is hard to comprehend that I have been seeking help from Bank of America for nearly FORTY FIVE (45) months now. They deserve the vote they got last year as one of the worst American Companies and they are STILL doing the same things along with flagrant, negligent misrepresentation as set forth in the Montana Supreme Court ruling last year in the "Morrow Case" and the epic settlement supposedly with the U. S. Department of Justice. They have a huge customer service department now renamed Enterprise Customer Care Resolution Team and they are terrible. They all make claim to be with the "office of the president and ceo" which could not be further from the truth. There is apparently a whole office of these inept people operating in Southern California. In the supposed epic settlement with the USDOJ supposedly $7 BILLION DOLLARS was supposed to best aside to help people like me with loans that originated with Countrywide (which B of A purchase back in 2009) and B of A. I am a 70 year old Vietnam Veteran and they treat me like dirt and lie and demand duplicate documents over and over again to different offices- they need to put all these people in jail in my humble opinion and the CFPB and Congress members are just as terrible and dysfunctional so don't expect any help- this is another example of why our wonderful country is headed in the wrong direction.

Bank of America do inside stealing and create BOGUS charges. You can't get help or assistance from the incompetent people working for them, from the bottom to the top. Just plain dumb *** idiot's.

Bank Of America - Cutting off autopayments

I appreciate their concern for security but lately its been taken too far. I am having to contact bank in person regarding payments not going through. There is more than enough yet its rejecting. The telephone bankers probably from overseas take forever and how reliable are they. Its frustrating and humiliating. I pay my taxes too.

I wish we could give Bank of America negative stars

This bank literally needs to be shut down. They lie and steal. Then when you go to the CFPB and file a complaint, if they can, they will try to sue you in retaliation. They stole over $5,000 from my business checking account. Only after I complained to all the regulators, including the CFPB, the Federal Reserve, and the FDIC, did I get their attention, but I still think they are trying to buy time. I told the manager of the complaints resolution dept of Bank of America that I am writing to my congressman and plan to take this matter all the way to the US Attorney General if I have to. If that happens, I will be asking for damages. ,

Bank Of America in Oak Park, Illinois - Terrible and confused

I deposited 3000 into my account using a cashiers check and the bank immediately took my money and closed my account for no reason! When I contacted corporate they told me they don’t accept cashiers checks into an account! Wish I would’ve known this before I deposited my damn money!!!! They closed my account for no reason! I have to borrow money and can’t even receive my pay check from work!!! Never again BOA!!! This bank needs to close!!!!

My BOA has no tellers, no drive up, no service. Computers are down several times a year. So therefore I have to drive several more miles to make my deposit for work, when I get there, one teller. What is the problem with BOA. They can't pay enough tellers to wait on customers, but they can buy all the URL's of the websites created for people to complain about them. Can't buy this one though, or the BBB, ha. I have to go to BOA because the company I work for bank's there, but why would anyone bank at BOA if they didn't have to???????

Bank Of America - Teller Lied about the holder on my check

I went to local branch this deposit check on 9/13. Teller said $240 of the funds will be available the next day, and the rest will be on hold until 9/17. I checked my account the next day and saw nothing! I called customer service and was told they will put the entire check on hold until 9/24. After talking with several different representatives and a manger on the phone, I was told that there is nothing they can do. I will have to wait until 9/24! I was lied to and Bank Of America refuses to accept responsibility and basically told me to just deal with it! I will be closing my account and will NEVER recommend this bank to anybody! Horrible customer service! They have Liars working there! Take your money else where!

Bank Of America in Irvine-Lake Forest, California - Extremely poor customer service

Lake Forest, CA branch, doesn't matter when you go in there is always a line because there is usually only one teller. 2 women behind the counter will not step up and help out. I spent half hour in line with 2 tellers because teller#1spent the whole time helping one person. Today when I asked for the women just standing behind the counter texting for her card. Told to sit down and wait. I said I would wait at counter on the side. She would not give me her card or name because I "threatened" her because I was not going to sit down. They do not care about customers. I closed all of my accounts 2 years ago but still have to go to BankAmerica for business. II I would not use them if I did not have too!!
