Deliver service and an apology. Worst I have ever been treated in a call with an attendant.

Deposit question

20 year customer.. bank service is going down hill fast. 800# tells me to go branch, branch tells me to call 800# as they dont have tellers anymore. Nothing but run-around on a simple question. (This is all before they even ask what my issue or question is about to even determine if/who could help).

Declined mortgage loan

Paid 700 for appraisal. Declined for a stupid reason. 1 past due with heloc and because hasn't been a year. Been with Bank since 1979. Good credit,, retired from Boa after 37 years, vice president of consumer bank, substantial deposit relationship. Not customer friendly, branches not opening regularly, etc.

User's recommendation: Do not bank with Bank if America. Relationship doesn't matter. Not customer friendly.

Live in PR open an online account and it’s blocked

Yesterday I open an online account, today I cant access because its blocked. I call costumes service they told me to go personal to present my licenses ID but in Puerto Rico I dont know where is a Bank of America location is there is one. I feel scammed because I used all my information to opened and theres was no problem but today my account is blocked because that.

Account locked no notices . No answer to call. Credit card rewards confiscated. Unfortunately highly unprofessional.

Attempting to close my deceased sisters account. Called last month,got a case number, they were supposed to call me back in a day. Ha.... what a joke. A month later, no call. Called them again.

Took me 45 minutes to get someone on the phone. Wrong department. Another wait... 25 minutes into my second wait... I got cut off. Needless to say... I gave up. Been trying to close my deceased sisters account for a month. They never have called me back. I am soooo fed up with BofA.

Check look up

I asked to look up a check, I have the check number, account number and date, even Tho she was polite, she said she isn't able to look it up, I am sure she can't but i know someone in the banking system can, I'm sure it's on record, on a computer or microfilm (spelling)

I feel completely helpless. I needed to shop for food.

I need gas for my truck, to get to work. This is a monumental disaster for me, but of no consequence to Bank of America.

Unable to read my bank statements online

I signed in to my bank of america account online and provided their access code when directed to. The next page was about "going paperless''. I wasn't interested. There was no way to skip this page except by agreeing to "go paperless". Tried to get back to the previous page, but when I did that, my sign-in was deleted. I wasn't going to go through the sign-in again.

The fact that my comment explaining what a horrible website this is proves they are doing this. They are the only one that can post with the same name.

Helping comments are deleted. Rude ones pretending to be you are not.

Hence the website is doing this. They care more about money than posting hurtful comments.

Automated check order system

I called to reorder checks. The automated system did NOT understand my wanting to speak with a human. Nor did it not give me the option to confirm starting check number. All it did was hang up on me. Finally I spoke with Mike in customer service and was able to get this simple task completed. Mike did a nice job. The Automated System needs a lot of work to be useful.

RIDICULOUS Overdraft fees

I am supposed to have overdraft protection whereas my savings is supposed to transfer to my checking if any transactions posted are not covered. Bank of America has been charging me overdraft fees even though the money is transferred the same day. In addition, they have double charged me for the same transaction! No luck with customer service. I called and was on hold for over 30mins, just to be told the department I needed to speak with is open from 9am to 5pm. I have been with BOA over 12yrs. At this point I am searching for a new bank to start over with. BOA used to care about their customers, especially loyal one's.
