I am extremely unhappy with BofA’s services

For past years I have been experiencing inconveniences in terms of unreasonably long time for deposits . Customer service is horrible - phone hold time is unacceptable! Returned checks while I have funds in my account ?!? Plus charges for overdrafts . I am switching to another bank as soon as I clear my direct deposits .

I just hope that someone looks into the issue Bank of America has with their interface with UPS and other sources of transportation. A month to get a reissued credit card is insane.

Wanted to ask account questions

I dont have an account yet. I was forwarded to Fraud Department. I want to find out about transfer policies. My husband and I have a clothing business in Asaba Nigeria. We often send each other money via transfer or bitcoin. My current bank, Chase, doesnt allow bitcoin purchases or wire transfers to Nigeria. I need a bank that does.

They over charged my account

Trying to figure out my my account show an over draft they suppose to have cancelled out that payment cause they told me it didn't go through I will need to go to the store and make the purchase I did so I don't understand they charge my card twice f

Wait time for Preferred Customers is ridiculous

Every time I call customer service I am put on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes. Usually more. I am a preferred customer. Shouldnt we get more respect.

Excessive penalty fees

I feel sick that I had to close my Alaska Airlines Bank of America credit card. I've had it for decades. My wife is very un-savvy about finances and made a series of small transactions on Venmo where she used the credit card to buy things. There were 54 transactions in total at a $10 fee per transaction. $540 in fees. They were unwilling to budge an inch to keep my business. This was a good business with in the past. Unfortunately no more.

User's recommendation: Take your business elsewhere, perhaps a credit union.

Their Failure to Answer Phones

My branch in Claremont, California does not answer the phone. They expect me to make an appointment, get in a car, drive, park, sit in one of their lobby seats, and wait for an appointment, walk to my car, and drive home to deal with something that would take a one minute phone call or a two minute e-mail on their part. That is correct.. They're busy with customers IN the branch, so stop calling. This may be a shock, but other customers are needing help as well.

Holding funds

I gave Bank of America, Reno a certified check from Wells Fargo because B of A held the 2nd trust deed on a property and I assumed that I could pay off the balance there. First they said that there would be a four-day hold on releasing any of the funds even though the deposit was a certified check! When I went in on the specified day they said "the back room" had extended the hold for seven days without notice! Furthermore they wouldn't take the payoff there, but I had to mail it in; they did provide an envelope. I have been a customer since 1994, although my balance was low at the time.

Phone system won't allow me to make my mortgage payment

It's gotten worse now you can't get through because of high call volume. The only way for me to make my payment is to go the bank teller and hand her my payment.

What a fiasco! I'm considering obtaining a new mortgage from a more customer friendly bank.

I have been trying to make my mortgage payment for the past 2 weeks via phone and after going through all the prompts it says I can't complete my payment at this time. Are we back to the l age before computers, how in the 21st century can it take weeks to update your system? I believe you are mucking up this process in order to force your customers to use online banking.I won't do it! I will refinance my mortgage at another provider if you continue to force customers to your will.

I have now been on hold for over 2 hours waiting for claims dept. This is such bad business!!! Whoever is running the claims department needs to be fired!!!? I have a few screen shots of wait times.. I was ( accidentally) hung up on during the wait period.. so the photo does not show full wait times... disgusting !!!

Unable to email my complaint directly to anyone with Responsibility

Dear Bank of America,I understand why you would like me to "Go Paperless." I really do. You would prefer to save on postage and since I like a paper trail for all my transactions, you would prefer that I use my own printer and paper to create hard copies.Well, I do not choose to Go Paperless, and I am annoyed by your repeated demands that I let you know what my preference is.And I do not care for your heavy-handed way in which I must convey my strong desire to NOT GO PAPERLESS.So, you can respect my choices, or you can continue to annoy me with your unwanted and unwelcome email demands to remind you that I DO NOT CHOOSE TO GO PAPERLESS.Time was, your Harbor City branch was convenient, and the only nearby bank around; that has changed in recent years with the opening of a Chase bank even closer.

So, stop annoying me, or I will change banks and you will lose the income stream that my keeping thousands of dollars in my checking account generates for you.Please consider this as PUTTING YOU ON NOTICE.
