I was charged 12$ fee after boa’s mobile deposit failed to read the account number on a deposited cheque properly. I called customer service and they told me they couldn’t refund the cheque charge despite their ability to read the account number on the cheque and admitting it was an issue with their mobile banking.

I decided to present my case to the local branch manger at yucca valley, Fabiola balladare who was able to deposit the check successfully and proceeded to tell me she couldn’t refund the $12 as she had no control over the “systems” decision. Its clearly pointless to deal with minions and slaves to a “system” who have no authority to make decisions even though they know it was the banks fault, and I have decided to close all accounts with BOA and switch to discover who charge no fees and are straightforward to deal with for now.

Preferred solution: Full refund.
