For three months, starting in January 2021, Bank of America stopped sending my auto loan statements by mail. Numerous phone calls and emails to customer service proved ineffective and a waste of time.

During this same period, I received almost weekly emails from Bank of America encouraging me to go paperless. I was constantly encouraged to make my payments online, or by telephone. I am elderly and old fashioned. I like to pay my bills by check.

In April 2021, after a fourth auto loan statement failed to show up in the mail, I went to the local branch and paid off the loan. Bank of America has now lost out on 24 months of interest on the auto loan, and lost a good customer who has used its credit cards for years, and had previous mortgages and auto loans with the bank. In addition , the local branches of Bank of America have cut hours and staff service to the point that a trip to the bank often takes an hour or more of a customer's time for a simple bank transaction. One teller behind the counter, drive-in windows closed, etc.

There are too many other banking options available to banking customers to put up with this level of service. Good bye Bank of America.!

Preferred solution: Apology.

So it took not getting a paper statement to do a financially smart thing and pay the loan off? Very interesting.

So if they did what you wanted, you would have kept paying additional interest? LOL. You’re a fool.

I’m sure they don’t care that you paid them off. More cash to loan to others.

Boy, you sure told them(sarcasm). So, not getting a paper statement is the reason you paid off a loan early and saved 24 months of interest?

Please don't tell us that you would have continued to pay them interest if they gave you a paper statement. Your comment is banal, lame, and stupid...
