I have to go to boa everyday for work. Most of the time the motor bank is closed because boa is too cheap to pay enough employees to staff the branch. They do not care that the line for the one teller working is almost out the door. Yet there are other employees...

I have banked with them since I was 16 years old and now 30 years. I have had no major issues. I wish money orders were free. Interest rates are extremely high on credit cards.

Bad Experience With Bank Of America

Details
We received a check from our insurance company for Home Hail Damage. We had to send the check to Bank Of America for their signature so we could deposit it to our account. The Bank sent the check back to us because they wanted us to include the repair bid, the Contractor's W9, license, etc. We got all the requested documents, stapled these to the check and overnighted them to the bank. A month later, no sign of the check. We called Bank Of America to find out what was taking so long. The bank claimed they could NOT release our check until we submit the documents they requested. How can this be? The documents were stapled to the check. If they have our check, they should be able to find the documents! To save time, we decided to Fax them the documents and then followed up with a call. Bank Of America confirmed they received our fax with all the documents they had requested and they were to overnight the check back to us so we could deposit it to our account and pay our contractor for the work done. Today, more than 6 weeks later, we still have NOT received our check. We called Bank Of America again to ask where is our check? Their answer; "We mailed out your check October 28 because we had NOT received the documents we requested." What? Are you kidding me? It seems to me the bank is taking their sweet time with our check ONLY to make interest. I'm sure $20,000.00 is a drop in the bucket to the Bank, but if you multiply this figure by thousands if not 10s of thousands of customers under the same situation, the Bank certainly has a great racket going on by all the interest it makes by holding on to their customer's money for as long as they can. Our poor contractor finished his job several weeks ago, why should he have to wait for his money simply because of a greedy bank? The government or bank regulators need to do something to STOP banks from holding on to money that doesn't belong to them.

Bank Of America in Richardson, Texas - Disgusting service

I had my account blocked by bank and when I called customer service they told we have right to close any account at any time and then i asked the reason for it, only explanation was we have right to close account at any time without any reason. Later on I am getting email from bofa and this explain about unorganized culture over there asking me to setup account with them for credit card payment. I thought my credit cards would be working but credit card account was closed as well. I got 2-3 mails regarding account setup for closed account. What a joke? To collect money from bank I went to bank and manager over there told we need to contact risk department on this. I told I already spoken with them on this and they told to release the fund. So Manager went in and told i am not able to make contact and that department is closed today (BIG LIE). I told, hold on I contacted today few minute ago and you are saying it is closed what *** is it. I called immediately in front of him to them and told they arent closed please talk to them and that manager ran in to his office and didnt came out and for 10 minutes and told I contacted and will release fund. While collecting my fund there was black guy next to my counter, want to collect his deposit and white guy and manger told him they were not able to verify his identity on DL and will not be able to give deposit. That guy told give me in "writing" the reason for that they were explaining and then manger decided to give him deposit "WHAT A RACIST". This bank is a joke and never refer anyone to open account in this bank. I researched online for this and could found lot of complains from previous customers on same matter.
